Women held their regular meeting
on Tuesday the" 2nd of April at
2 o'clock at the home of Mrs.
Wesley Ritchie with 21 members
and 3 visitors present;
Mrs. Jas. Wraith opened the:
meeting with a poem. The hymn
"Jesus keep me near the Cross"
was sung followed by prayer, Roll
call was answered with an' Easter
verse. Mrs. Peter Cook gave the
treasurer's report. Mrs. Al Irwin
gave a reading on stewardship and
recruiting.. Mrs. Walter Dexter
gave a reading "Smiling" and the
report on community friendship.
Mrs. Eva McCullough read a
letter on Christian Missionary
education. The //social functions
reports was given by Mrs. Clar—
ence Bell. She asked for dona-
tions for the lunch to be' served to
the Wiarton Choir to be held on
April 9th.,
Mrs. JaS. Wraith gave the .re'
of the Bruce Presbytery held
at Port , Elgin. The Easter Thank,-
offering will be held on April the
19th. Mrs.. Nicholls asked-for two
from Unit 1 to help when the film

Unit 2 is responsible for flowers

ported on social functions.
Collection was taken to buy fruit
bread for the Thankoffering, April
19. The mother and daughter
banquet is May 2. Mrs. Eldon
Ritchie gave a paper on Steward:
ship. The May meeting is to be a
joint meeting of units 1, 2 and 3
-and will be at the church. Mrs.
MacDonald gave a very good
'report on the Presbyterial meeting
held at Southampton. The roll
call was answered by 20 members..
Mrs. Eldon Ritchie presided for
the' program. She opened `with a
poein "In April". Hymn. 86 was
sung. Lena Robinson read the
scripture and meditation and led
in prayer. After the singing of ,
Hymn 165 , Mrs, MacDonald took
the Misson study "Changing Views
of. Missons". Mrs. Eldon Ritchie
read, a poem and closed the pro-
gram with the Mizpah Benedic
tion.

showed her beautiful slides of
Hawaii. Mrs. Ackert thanked the
hostess, her committee*and Mrs.
Fisher for showing her slides. The
meeting was.closed with the bene-
diction..

given by Evelyn Cook "May I

Mrs. 'Ross Shiells gave a talk
on "What does Easter mean to yod'
which was much enjoyed. Mrs.
Walter Dexter gave a reading "Oh

hymn, From Greenland's Icy
Mountains, was sung and Mrs'.,
Clarence Irwin closed the
devotional with prayer and a
poem.
The meeting was closed 'with
