Asks For Name
Change For Riding
Robert E. McKinley , Progress-
ive Conservative Member for. Hur-
on Riding , has listed a private
mernber's bill in the House of
Commons to change the name of,
his riding to Huron-MiddleSex.
The bill is, entered' undei the.
Electoral Boundaries 'Re-adjust-
ment Act and will, in the'normal
course'of events, get parliament-
ary approval without debate.
Huron riding had the village of
Ailsa -Craig and the townships of
Biddulph and McGillivray in Mid-
dlesex added in the last redistri-
bution. The riding includes all of
the County of Huron.
Mr. McKinley says the new
name is a better'description of the
riding , but he had withheld ac
tion to change it anticipating an-
other redistribution on the basis of
the 1971 census.
The boundaries commission did
'recommend addition to the riding
of part of Perth County but, this
has been, set aside -for reconsider-
apon of the whole problem of rep

It appears 'an election is 'likely
