Team 5 won the championship
for the senior grades by defeating
Rick Conley's team by a score of
4-2. The captain of team 5 is
Doug Hamilton.
SCHOOL BAND
The band played several,numb-
ers at the last assembly. They
are preparing for a tour up north-
on May 23,.24 and 25 to Minden,
auction sale 'at his farm on Thurs-
day. A booth was operated under
the auspices of the .Pioneer Girls.

Named President
The organizational meeting of
the, Lucknow 4-H Calf Club was
held on March 21 at Brookside
public School. Len McGregor had
some games to get it rolling and
then they sang some songs in
different parts.
After the games and .singing
Len McGregor told the different
things about 4-H. The record
books and signs were handed out
and then they held the election
of officers.
They are as follows: President, ,
Ken Mewhinney; Vice President,
Nancy Alton; Secretary, Roger
Morrison; Press Reporter', Ruth •
Alton.
It was decided to have meetings
on the 4th Thursday of every
month. The local leaders of the
Luclinow Calf Club are George
Kennedy, Hugh Todd and. Glen
Walden.

We held our fifth meeting 'on
March the 30th at 1,30 p.m. at ,
the home of Dixie Cameron,
The president Donna Hackett
opened the meeting, leading sev-
enteen girls in repeating the
4-H pledge. The roll call which
was "One aid which will im-
prove storage , in my bedroom" was
answered.
We then took up the home
assignments and hand out notes.
Mrs. B. Alton discussed "Beauti-
ful Complexion", and "Good ',k
Health Habits".
We had a visitor Mrs. Scott who
spoke on "Applying Make Up" and
"Skin Care". She also demonstra-
ted these topics On' Mrs, Irvin. We
also had the mothers of the mem-
bers present as guests.
Barbara Wilkins closed with •
"Beauty is only in the eyes o,f the
beholder". We then sang grace
and the hostess and the leaders
served lunch.
KINLOUGH
On Sunday afternoon and even-
ing Mr. and Mrs, Art Haldenby
held "Open House"' for their 50th
wedding anniversary. Their 'fam-,
ily and relatives were present , as
well as many friends who called
to extend best wishes at this time.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth,Langford
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Nicholson and Kim Langford , who
has been with Mr. and Mrs. Nich-
olson, returned to Woodstock.
Mrs: Delbert Heciley", Gary,
Debbie and Karen, went to London
on Thursday , where Gary had a
medical check up following ear
surgery which he underwent last
fall..
We are sorry to report that Jos-
eph Guest of Teeswater .is a pat-
ient in the Wingham and District
Hospital.' Mrs. Guest is visiting
with her. daughter Mrs. Torn Mac-
Donald during his stay in the hos-
pital.
The Anglican services next Sun-
day will be at Ripley , Bervie and.
Lucknow.

meet this Thursday afternoon at
the home of Mrs. Morgan. Johnston
