Whitechurch 4-H Club held '
their second meeting of the club
on' March 5th at the home of
leader Mrs. Ardhie Purdon,
The 4 members were all pres-
ent. The President Miss Kathy
Purdon opened the meeting with
all repeating the 4-1-1 pledge in
unison. The roll call was answer-
ed by, showing a picture of a fam-
ous person. The minutes were
read by Nadine Farrish.
Discussion centred on the care
of hands. Kathy Pardon gave.a
deMonstration of manicuring.

The first meeting of Dungannon
elub.#1 was 'opened with all say-
ingthe 4-H pledge. Roll call was
taken with the members giving,
their name, age, address and fath-
er's name. Thirteen members' - •
were present. _The two leaders •
are Mrs. Bev MacInnis and Mrs.
Donna ;Young. Each week the
meetings are to •be ,alternated•at
. the leaders' hOuses.
Election of officers was taken
and are as;follows: Pres. - Elaine
Stewart; Vice Pres..- Debbie •
Bowden; Secretary and Press Re-
porter will rotate each week. For
the first meeting , Virginia
Chisholm was secretary and press
reporter. Discussion consisted of
"What makes a girl • attractive?"
"Is your image important?" and
"Linage of 'a public figure."
Member's pamphlets and hand-
aut sheets were,distributed. 'The
bandout sheets were discussed and
then filled out. Home assign-
ment is to fill, out the charts and
find pictures of well known public
figures.
The next meeting will, be held
at Donna Young's on Tuesday,
March 12, at 7 p.m.

girls in repeating the 4-H pledge.

Ten girls were present. We
decided upon'the name "Clever
• Cuties" for our club. The disctis
• sign was based on general cleanli-'
ness; caring for clothes, and car-
ing for hands and nails.
Each girl demonstrated how to
put on nail polish and care of
nails.
The next meting will•be held
on Tuesday, March 19th at the '
home of Bev Maclnnis.

the 4-H pledge -in unison. The
minutes were read by Mary. Lou
Milligan. The roll call - a yse-
ful piece of storage we use in the
bedroom. The topic - a place
for everything and everything in
its place was discussed by Mrs.
Archie Purdon as..,were the gener-
al rules for goodstorage. Mrs.
Walter Elliott also discussed stor-
age.

Busy Buddies
On Tuesday , March 12 the Busy
Buddies met in the Lucknow Pres-
byterian Church basement.
Dianne Morrison opened the meet-
ing with a poem, "The Lament
of an Irish Immigrant". Lois
Noble ,entertained -with a piano
solo. With Lois Noble ',accompany
ing on the piano everyone sang a
number Of favourite hymns.
It was brought up at the meet-
ing that a Junior Women's Institute
was going to be formed in Luck-
now. The Organizational meet-
ing is to be Monday, March 25th
at 8.00 p.m. in the Town Hall.
Everyone interested was asked• to
attend this meeting.
It was decided instead of Having
a regular meeting next month to
go to the United Church to hear
the Wiarton Choir perform. This
will be on Tuesday., April 9th at
8.00 p.m. Everyone will meet
in the PreSbyterian Church base-
ment, beforehand and will come
back for lunch after the perform-
ance. Twenty tickets are to be
ordered. Anyone not at this meet ,
ing who plans to attend next
month' please contact Donna Mof-
fat or Marg Wilson for tickets,
Betty McDonagh was in charge
of the activity for the evening,
which was to teach knitting or
crocheting tó anyone who wanted
to learn. The rest of the evening
was spent working on an article of

Thursday, &larch '7, at 7.00 p.m.
The meeting was opened with the
4-H pledge. Grace Alton read
the minutes of the last meeting.

the girls telling what
shape of face they have. Barb
Whitby , our guest , spoke on hair
care.and styling. Our leaders
then led a brief discussion on hair
care. We closed with the 4-H.
