' Lucknow Central Public School
had a sale to raise money for the
Junior Red Cross. The auditorium
was decorated with green shorn-
rocks , green hats , with black bands
on them and red crosses. The
tables were set up by. Mrs. McMur-
ray's clas. They also made the
.6' decorations.
The Grade 8 girls packed baked
goods in the morning and they
were also the cashiers in the after
noon with a little hlep from the
Grade 8 boys.
The drawi were based on smart-,
ies, jelly beans, ju-jubes, plaqu-
es, knitted doll basket and two
cakes. The tickets for the draw
were sold all week by M. Flana-
aan's class.

Raises $160 For Junior Red Cross

cents. At 3.00 they had a Chin-.
ese auction sale which was pres-
ented by Mr. McKeon's class.
Joey Van Boven was the super
prize, Austin O'Donnell was the
auctioneer, Mr. Flanagan looked
after the draws for the candy,
cakes, plaques and doll basket.
The school gives sincere thanks
to parents and students for their
help. We would also like to .
thank the local .businesses who
contributed items for our sale.
It has been a successful project
again this year as they made a
total of $16 0.65.,Our school
should be proud of this effort for a
worthwhile cause.
