The final hockey games of the
Saturday morning House League
were played on Saturday, March
16th.
In the first game the Jets-defeat-
. ed the Crusaders 7 to 5. 'Greg -
Gibson led the attack with a.
hat trick with singles going to Jeff
Austin', Murray Hickey., David
alisbury and Gary McInnes. Jim
Foran and Torn Sinnett each had a
pair and Eddie McDonald replied
for the Crusaders. Penalties for
Crusaders _were. Steve Atkinson,
Art Simpson, John O'Keefe,
bench penalty served by David
Hawkins. Greg Gibson drew a
minor for the Jets.
In the second game the Whalers
trimmed the' Sharks 5 to 1. Tom
Park and Allan Stanley , each
With a pair and Richard Jurjens
were the marksmen-for the Whal-
ers. Brent Van Osch was the lone
marksthan for the Sharks. Tom
Park served, two minor penalties
for the Whalen while 'Rick Harm-
an and Taylor Giesbrecht were in
the penalty box for the Sharks.
In the: third game the Blades
doubled the score on the Jets 4 io
2 to win the Consolation Trophy
donated by Hamilton Fuels.
Wayne Bell scored a pair , with •
singles going to Harry Van Delp-
enbeek and Meikel Becker for,the
Blades. Greg Gibson and John
Edisbury tallied for the Jets. Shane
Hickey served the only penalty
of the game.
In the final, game the' Whalers
edged the Toros 1 to 0, in a real
thriller, to win the. Championship
Trophy qonatedby ,the ,Luc4noW
Recreation Committee. Richard
Jurjens, who was selected as the
most improved player for the year,
scored the only goal of the ,game.,
Joey Des Roches• gained the shut
out.. Allan Stanley , for the
Whalers, and Bobby Hackett and
Alex Irvin, for the TOros, each
served minor penalties.

Intermediate Series With Atwood is
Tied At One Win For Each Team
Lucknow Intermediate hockey
team lost the first game in the
best four-out-of-seven playoff
series to Atwood'by a score of
7-3 in Lucknow on Friday. Luck-
now boys had most of the play
but couldn't get the 'puck past
the Atwood goalie.
Goals were scored by Jim Mur-
ray 2, Dave Black 1.

On. Sunday, March 17th it was

Lucknow as they registered a 7 74
win over Atwood.
