around and name the brides and
grooms of former years. Twenty-
six photos adorned the walls. Mrs.
Adeline Hackett carried off, the
prize for recognizing twenty two.
The meeting was called to order
and all sang the Happy Hearts •
Theme song. Clara Courtney
played the piano and Marion Gam-
ble led in the singing of several
Irish songs. Mrs. Herb Farrell
read a story from Charlie Farquhar-
son's book, Bertha Scott .sang sev-
eral lovely irish solos, Mrs. Gam-
ble playing the accompaniment.
A human bingo game by. Effie
Sutherland was played. Winners
were .Mrs. John McLean and Mrs.
Frank Scott , but Myrtle was the
guest, so she carried 'off the Big
Spud. Myrtle really made the
group laugh with her readings.
Amelia MacLeod won the prize
for the best Irish Costume, Nettie
Gawley the lucky chair prize. "
A musical game "Pop goes, the ,
Weasel" was conducted by Gladys
Arnold and Clara Shiells. Anne
MCCosh and Mary MacDonald as
"Mike and Pat" had some Irish
jokes.
President Gladys Arnold report-
ed on the Directors meeting held
at Christene Robertson'S. Marg-
aret Scott read the minutes of the
last meeting., The April meeting
will be delayed a week, Good ,
Friday being the regular meeting
day. Gladys Mason, Flossie Ged-
des ; Clara Courtney , Mary Pol-
lock; Olive VOgan, Effie Suther-
land, Nellie McLeod, Frank Scott
and Ardell Mason helped during
lunch hour. Stewart Shiells sup-
plied lovely Irish music during the
lunch hour,
Chairman Gladys Arnold was
surprised when a•gaily lit birthday
cake war brought in and Happy
Birthday was sung to her. The
meeting closed by singing "0 Can-
ada" and Grace.
