Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moulton, Simcoe, visited last Saturday and Sunday with' the former's father, Frank Moulton, arid Mrs. Lillian MacDOnald, Arthur McMichael was able to return home on Sunday from London Hospital where he under- went an operation on his back. He will be convalescing at home for some time. William "Bill" Wiggins return- ed home from Wingharn and Dist-• rict Hospital on Friday following a siege of hiecoughs. 'He is.survived by two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Rebecca) Gibbon of Sundridge and Miss Lucy Thompson of Oakville, to whom' sympathy' is extended and tc friends' and neigbhours in this com- munity. Murray Murdoch was, until recent years when it gave up prominence to the present lettering On the end of the arena, "Home of Paul- Hend- erson". , Murdoch ,was born in Lucknow, the,son Mr. and'Mrs. Walter Murdoch who, we understand from older residents; at one time lived in the house owned by Jack Fisher and on another occaSion in the house owned by George Whitby,. Murdoch gained his fame and his title "Iron Man" from the number pf consecutive games he played without missing one. The award received by Murray Murdoch, no 69 years of age, was the Lester Patrick Memorial Trophy for 1974 for outstanding' service to hockey 'in the United States of America and in memory of the former general manager and coach of New YOrk Rangers; Mr. Patrick. Murray Murdoch was one of the original New Yofk Rangers in their inaugural season. He played 11 seasons with the team• and played 563 straight games in the regular schedule and 55 games in the playoffs. Murdoch later coached the Yale University pockey team. Peace" , and ,the service was held in, Dungannon United Church under the leadership of Mrs. Lorne Hasty, Mrs. Wilmer Rutledge, Nile; and Mrs. John Franken of St. Augustine.
