ing with regard to West WaWanosh
Township becoming a contributing
municipality and forming the
Lucknow COmmunity Arena Com-
mittee. Those appearing before
Council were Murvin Solomon, •
Don Bell and. Grant Eckenswiller.
After their departure Council
discussed the fasts at great length,
and finally on motion of
Councillors Hickey and Foran,
"That West Wawanosh Township
agrees to contribute 100/0 of the
annual operating costs of the
Lucknow Arena , with 'no capital
outlay included ," the Clerk was
instructed to write the-Secretary
of the Arena Committee , A. H.
Herbert-, 'with information of
Council's motion.
On a motion by Councillors
'bran and Rutherford , the Clerk
was appointed Acting Treasurer in
the.absence 'of the treasurer.
By-Law # 3, 1974, was given
third reading and finally passed
on motion of Councillors -Durnin
and ,Hickey. This by-law appoints
County Inspector-, Alex Chesney,
as Weed Inspector for West Wawa-
nosh Township..

Busy Buddies
Supper Meeting
The February meeting of the
Busy, Buddies was held on Tuesday.,
•February 12 in the' Luc know Pres-
byterian Church' basement. This
get together was in the form of a.
supper meeting,.
Several new members were in-
jilted to'this meeting and a get-,
acquainted game was' played to
ensure everyone knew each other.
Lois Noble said grace. Everyone
enjoyed a delicibus supper of
homemade spaghetti and meat
sauce. After supper a discussion
period was held and ideas were
heard • as how to raise. money and •
what could be done with this
money to help the community.
Names were then drawn to set •
up the forthcoming meetings.
Betty McDonagh gave a prayer
in which everyone participated.
Linda Johnston gave Susan
McRae a facial. Everyone
enjoyed this a great deal and
questions were asked and ideas
brought forward about applying
make up.
Lois. Noble played the piano and
everyone'sang Kum Biah to 'close
the meeting.
Next meeting will be held Tues-
day , March 12 at 8:00 p.m.
