The first meeting of the Purple
GroVe Pretty Perfect 'Gals was
held on February 7th at the home
of Mks. Harvey .Needharn. ,
"'Taking a look at yOurself" is the
name of the pritject with Mrs.
Harvey Needham and Mrs. Morley'
Scott acting as the capable lead-
ers.
Marj. Fair is the president with
Kathy Farrell assuming the duties
of vice president and treasurer and
each girl will have a chance to
act as the secretary"and press re-
porter. The discussion was based
upon a person's image and how it
reflects on others , including your-
self:

'The second meeting of the Kair-•
shea 4-H Club,was held Saturday,
February 16 at Mri. Len Clarke's.
The meeting opened.with the 4-H
pledge followed by the roll call.
The minutes were then read by
Norma McIntyre.
They discussed "The Little
Things That Count" and "Import-
ant Points of General Cleanliness,

The first meeting of the Clover
Valley 4 El Club "Taking A Look
At Yourielf" was held at the home
of_Donna Elphick on February 12.
The meeting was opened with the
4-H pledge.
We had our election of officeis
and they are as follows; President;
Donna Elphick; Vice President
Lynn Elphick; Treasurer Annette,
Elphick and Press Reporter, • Wendy
Hamilton.
Members pamphlets were distri-
buted and Mrs. Elphick gave an
outline of the project and discuss-
ed the record books. Both leaders
diScussed how your image is 'im-
portant and qualities• that make a
person attractive.
The "meeting was closed with, the
4-H creed, which Was followed '
by a/lunch served by Mrs. Elphick.
The second meeting of the Clov-
er Valley 4-11 Club was held at -
the,home of Wendy Hamilton on
February 16th at 1;30 p.m: The
president opened the meeting with
the 4-H pledge..
The minutes of the last
meeting were read by Lynn
Elphick. A vote was held and the
'Clover Valley Beauty. Buds is •to
be the name of our club, We
decided on a picture for our cover,
The meeting was turned over to
the leaders for the subject matter

discussion on this topic. For

a manicure. The meeting was
closed with the 4-H Creed.

Lost Life In
Car. Accident
Friends here were shocked on
Tuesday to learn of the death' of
the late. Mrs. Helen Stump,of. -
Elora, widow of the late Canon
R. W. Stump of Walkerton, who
was rectot of the Anglican Church
here for over six years. Mrs.
Stump and her friend .Mrs. And-
rews were killed in' a car acCident.
After the death-of Canon Stump
four years ago, Mrs. Stump went
to Elora to retire. She is survived
by her daughter Mrs. James Orser ,
R, R, 2, Purple -Ville, Woodbridge
Ontario to whom we extend
our deepest sympathy.
Congratulations are extended to
Miss Marilyn Rhody concession

of the• Lucknow Legion public .

Ten girls repeated the 4-H
pledge and answered the roll as
"The True Reflections" opened
their third meeting. "
The secretary gaire)ier report
and the treasurer reported on
finances,
Good storage was the subject of
the discussion with each girl fill-
ing Out sheets for her record book.
Each of us know seven storage
rules. Every girl, is to complete
a page about herself and pur it in
her record book.
During the week we are to start
projects for the club. The meet-
ing closed with The Creed.

Mrs. John MacDonald and her
brother Andrew Barkwell of con-
