Saddle Club
On Januaiy 27th, the Huron
Trail Riders Saddle Club met in
the gymnasium of theLondesboio
school .
The afternoon was taken up,
first with slides showing the diff-
dent aspects of Western and
English horsemanship.
OUr thankS goes to. Dr. Ray
FloWers for procuring and showing
us the slides. Appreciation also
goes to his daughter Lynn who
gave the commentaries.
Fifty-one,members -partook of
the fine lunch which was served.
After everyone's appetite was
satisfied , exercise was reqUired.
Volleyball and floor hockey proc-
eeded to take place, all at the
same time. Yes, you guessed
right. Pandemonium!
" A call to order was issued .by the
President. Members divided into
two teams and a fast and, furious
war of Volleyball ensued. We
won't mention the winners because
we think it much safer' not to do
so. There are•tinies when one
must stay neutral.
.0f course , you wonder what a
horse club membership is doing
playing volleyball. Well ; Old
Dobbin is semi -retired; with his
shoes removed he,is .earning his
well deserved rest.
This will come to an abrUpt,end
soon. The new season of shows' is'
almost upon us.,
If anyone wishes to join the
club, now is the time to do so.
The fun is just beginning.
