THAT Mr. and Mrs.: Wayne Stan-
ley of Lucknow recently moved‘
to their newly purchased home,
the Rohrer home, the former Joe
Conley property on Outrarn
Street. The Stanleys formerly
resided on Havelock Street,
three houses north of Lucknow
United Church in the Wm. Loree
duplex and this apartment is
now occupied by Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Haldenby who had been
living in Kinloss.

Club Had
Card Party
The regular monthly gathering
of the Happy Warts Club met on
January 11th in the Ripley Legion
Hail at 2 p.m. for card games
and program. Mrs. Herbert
"Farrell.welcomed each one on
arrival.
The Committee in charge was
Mrs. Mervyn Hooey'," convener;
Donald Blue and Mrs. Adeline
Hackett. Fourteen tables were
filled for 'euchre games. The
high winner for the ladies was Mrs
Lot Culbert and for men was Al-
bert Tout. The low prizes went
to Mrs: Redvers Johnston arid
Frank Fair,
Musical numbers were
provided 'by Albert Tout on the
violin accompanied by Mrs. Clara
Courtney at the piano.
During the business part of
the meeting , we were told that .
the Book, "Tales That Have•Been
Told" is selling well. Another
visit to Brucelea Haven is being
planned for late, in January. Mrs,
Marjorie Reid and Mrs. Mervyn
hooey were appointed to look
after plans to attend "The Ice-
capades" in Kitchener in mid-
winter,
The December project, "Rem-'
embering the Shut-Ins" was well
carried out by a committee of
Mrs. Clara Courtney, Mrs. Cath-
erine Coiling and Mrs. FlOssie
Geddes assisted by Mrs. Lizzie
MacDonald and Mrs. Wm. Arn-
old. Over thirty senior shut-ins
were remembered.
A delicious lunch was conven-
ed by Miss Ada Gawley, assisted
by Lyda ?va Culbert , Miss Gertie
Kidney and Mis' sALettie Gawley.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the -
friendship and fellowship and
will look forward to the Valen-
tine party.

were not much higher than here.

in the Caribbean Islands three
years ago', where they had lived
for 1 1/2'years.. At that time Roe
ald had been sent through the
Foreign Aid Program to build a
school and a churn.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Martin
and their four-year-old son Rich-
ard of Wasago left Toronto airport
on December'31st for a three-
month period in West Africa.
Ronald , a building contractor
in Wasago, is a son of Mr: and
Mrs. Sheldon Martin, St. Helens.
The Martin family arrived at
Monrobia in Liberia , West Africa ,
the following morning January 1st.
Ronald was sent out by the Pen-
tecostal Mission Board, Toronto,
to build a Mission School, Be-
fore starting this new project, situ-
ated about 100 miles inland, he
assisted in the completiOn of a
Youth Centre which was under
consuuction.
In a letter received by his par-
ents, Ronald describes the city as
made up of a variety 'of buildings,
from the most -modern multi-
storey to little galvanized metal
