Mrs. T. J. Saikeld of Lucknow
is a patient in Wingham and Dist-
riCt Hospital.. ,She was, admitted
last Saturday,
Mrs. Eldon Bradley of Lucknow
returned to her home Thursday
after spending 10 days in Univer-
sity Hospital where she had. surg-
ery. ,
Earl McDonald of Lucknow is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London where he' had surgery Sat-
urday evening. He had I5revious-
ly been hospitalized in Wingham
and London during which 'time he
underwent surgery for an append-
ectomy. Saturday's surgery was
the second in about three weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. George A Wiley
(Grace Cameron) of Oak Park,
Michigan held a family gathering

at a dinner at the home of Mr.
and Mrs, Bruce Hamilton on Sun-
day, January 20. Other guests

Farmers Week
Held At . Hanover
Farniers Week for people of
Grey and Bruce Counties was held
at Hanover during the past
week. Many from this area took
advantage of the fine program.
Thursday was Beef Day and over
300'-men and soiree women heard
Dr. Ed Empringham, the new
Veterinarian of Kincardine and
other, speakers. •

They saw a film on Pork and

Miss Deanna Burns explained
how the Consumer and Corporate
Affairs Brandi works to see
that ,consumers get their
moneys worth. Mrs. Fran El-
phick demonstrated Flower Ar-
ranging , Miss. de ViSscher showed
simple cake decorating , Miss
Storey ideas for' lunches and. Mrs.
Catherine Grubb of Mildmay some
Gelatin tricks. It, was a most in-
fortnative day.
