Holy rood WI The Holyrood 'Women's Institute held their Christmas meeting in the hall on Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Gerald Rhody' hostess. Mrs. Frank Maulden presided and following the usual opening exercises Mrs. Lorne Eadie read the financial statement: A don- ation was' made to the War Mem- orial Children's Hospital. The new 4-H Course is "Taking a look—I" at yourself". Thank you letters were read and a donation was re- ceived. Cheerio Christmas boxes will be sent. The roll call was answered with "A Christmas Current Event". "Ws. Raynard Ackert was program convener and gave a' read- ing and jokes. The members were divided into 3 groups for the program. Group 1 sang "Silver Bells". Mrs. Ellwood Elliott gave a read- ing and Mrs. torne-Eadie gave' a reading in verse' takirlg in all of the members. All joined in sing- ing Christmas Carols with Miss Edna Boyle at the piano. Group 2 gave the story of "Sil- ent Night" by Mrs. Frank Mauld- en and all joined in singing-this carol with Mrs. William McPher- son at the piano. Mrs. Marion Harris gave a reading on "The Shepherds" . Group 3 was a reading "Christ- mas Day" followed by "The Day after Christmas" by Mrs. Alex Percy , "The true Meaning' by Mrs. Gerald Rhody and "what do people want for Christmas" by Mrs. Raynard Ackert, who also conducted a huntorOus game. Mrs. Frank Maulderi gave the courtesy remarks' and lunch was served by the hostess.
