with a reading "Keeping Thanks-
giving" . "Come , ye thankful
. people, come" was sung followed
by prayer. The roll call was
answered with a' Thanksgiving •

Mrs, Dexter made arrangements

Mrs. Wraith closed the meeting

Church held their Thanksgiving
meeting at the home of, Mrs., Jack
McDonagh. Mrs. Gordon Morri-
son• opened the meeting with a
reading "Thanksgiving", She in-
formed the members about the
fowl supper October 16' and dona7

Mrs. Ernest Ackert gave a read-
ing "Giving Thanks". Eighteen ,
answered the toll call with dona-
tions for blankets. Mrs: Cliff. -
Crawford gave the treasurer's re-
port. The 'offering was dedicated.
Mrs. Jack McDonagh gave a report
on Community Friendship. Mrs.
Alex Andrew for sUpplyand wet
fare , told us a bale was sent to
various places June: 6, and thanked
everyone who helped. Mrs. Jack
Treleaven for Citizenship, com-
mented that Mr: Mills, a lawyer
from-Winghain , would be guest
speaker at the 'General Meeting,
October .23 _ Anniversary will be
October 14 with Rev . Robert
Johnstone from London as speaker.

We sang -Hymn 295 followed by
prayer by Mrs. Elliott. Mrs.
Lloyd Hall read the scripture ,
Psalm 30.and gave the meditation.
Mrs. Jack Treleaven followed '
with prayer. Mrs. Cam Thorrip-
son gave, a reading "The Rainbow
of the Trees" and a' "Thanksgiv-
ing Prayer".
Mrs.. Elliott introduced Mrs.
Jack Ackert, who shoWed
interesting slides of her trip to
Europe. The meeting was clos-
ed with the benediction. The
committee served a lovely lunch.

supper. Mrs. Morningstar report-
ed that flowers were needed for
Thanksgiving and Anniversary
Sunday. Mrs, Anderson thanked
the hostess for giving her home
for the meeting. '
Mrs. George Newbold opened
the devotional part with the sing-
ing, of Hymn 578' and with Mrs. H.
Webster at the ,piano followed by
a reading by Mrs..A. Morningstar.
Mrs. Geo, NewbOld introduced
the guest speaker Miss Ruth'
Thompson, Public Health Nurse
for .this district. Miss Thompson
gavea very interesting talk on her
recent trip to Russia.
Musical numbers on piano and
accordian by Mrs, Harvey Web-
ster and .Mrs. Herb Barger were
enjoyed. Mrs. Ivan Conley gave
a reading. Mrs. Newbold thanked

importance of cultivating a spirit

Miss. Ruth Alton accompanied
her sister Grace as she sang two
lovely numbers, "Amazing Grace'
and "Just a Closer Walk With .
Thee". .
The hymn "Now Thank We All
Our,God" was sung as a prayer
and the meeting closed with the
Mizpah benediction.
