Kinsmen Club May Form Hoe Linda Boak Is Killed In Weekend Motor Accident Sixteen-year-old Linda Eliza- beth Boak of Meaford, formerly of Goderich and LucknoW, was killed on Friday night in a motor accid ent at Eugenia. Linda• is the daughter of Mrs. Benjamin Wil- cox of Meaford, the former Doris . (McCreight) Boak of .Ashfield and Lucknow. Linda was a passenger in a car driven .by Brian Sheppard, 22, with two other passengers Dianna Jansen, 15 and Debbie Clawsie, 16, all of MeafOrd. Also killed in the crash was• Miss Jansen. Injured, and taken to Markdale Hospital, were Miss , Clawsie and Brian Shepherd. The acCident happened4,when the car failed to negotiate a turn at Eugenia. Miss Jansen was pro- nounced dead at the scene and Linda Boak was dead on arrival at Markciale HoSpital. She is survived by her parents, Benjamin and. Doris Wilcox; a sis- ter Sandra., (Mrs. Richard Sower- by), Goderich;• brothers Bill, Robbie and Brent , all of Gdderich and Perry. of Meaford; grandmoth- ers, Mrs. James (Rae) Boak 'of Exeter; Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Mc- Creight of Kincardine and Mrs. Robert (Camellia) Wilcox of Owen_ Sound. Mrs. Joynt is the former Edith Freeman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Freeman. She was born at Peterborough but lived in the Seafortb arid Ethel district prior to Corning to Luck- now with her parents in 1909 when her father accepted the position of miller at. the Treleaven Flour Mill. Mr. and. Mrs..JOynt were mar- ried in. LUcknow on September 10th, 1913 by the late Rev. George McKinley, minister of LucknoW Methodist Church., ' Mr. and Mrs. Joynt have given , valued and faithful service to• A couple of interesting letters arrived at R. R. I Kincardine on Tuesday , September 18th. They were addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Alex MacNay and to Miss Sharon MacNay and were from " Bob and. Mary MacNay who mail- ed them while on a holiday in, Grenada , West Indies. Bob and Mary operate the store at Ambetley and Bob's parents Alex and. Margaret and Bob and Mary's daughter Sharon were prob- ably looking after' the store while the' bosses had a holiday in the The natural thing would be a couple of letters written back home to let them know how the holiday•was going. Nothing unusual about this ,,you say? • Well, the letters were written on December 6, 1970 and arrived, in Amberley on September 18; 1973, two years and nine months later.
