OWN
PRAISE
Lucknow Fall Fair is•again hist-
ory and a word of commendation
is in order for,the members of the
Lucknow Agricultural Society who,
for twelve months of the year,
plan for this community, event.
The. Faivis., and-continues to
'be, one of the most :important
. community events...h brings .
people together: for one or two
days a year in .a way very few ev-
ents 'can do. Former residents, at
• a distance, look with antiCipation
to Fair day as a time they may
'meet friends, enjoy themselves
and renew friendships of former
years. Exhibitors look on the day
as a , challenge when they may
compete.agaihst their friends with
'the added pleasure that they may
pick up a few, extra dollars doing
so. Fair workers look on the day
as. a day of hard work, but also a
day of satisfaction knowing that
they have done something worth-
while for their coMmunity..
It ,is no secret that many people
. never attend the Fall Fair,
no interest in it and don't support
;it in any way.. These people are
entitled to their own thoughts and
opinions, but we find it hard to
. understand how anyone, who has

there is a certain bit of humohr
in the fact that, the writ issued.
against the village of Lucknow by
the' Bruce County Court concern-
ing.the Johnston transport which
went through the "Flax , Mill
bridge" last Summer, 'fully loaded
with grain, was also issued against
the Township of Kinloss, Town-
ship. of ,Ashfield , Townehip of
West Wawanosh., County of Huron
and the County of Bruce.'

We're not too sure how things-
function in the legal world , but
it almost seems as if someone,
somewhere didn't quite know
where'the bridge in question was,
so to be sure not to miss anyone,
they included everyone.
It now appears that the 'five
other names on the writ will' be
removed by the lawyers in charge
and that,Lucknow will be the re-
maining name.
