On Wednesday evening, a
!arge-crowd gathered at Knox
Presbyterian. Church, Teeswater,
to honour'Rev. and Mrs. T. J.
' McKinney prior to their departure
to Port Hope where Rev: McKin-
ney has accepted a call to St.
Paul's Presbyterian Church there.
During a programme. chaired
by Jim McBurney, Mrs. Walter
Ballagh, on behalf of the W.M.S.
presented Mrs. McKinney' with an
electric bedroom clock. ,
After words of appreciation by
Mrs. Hugh Armstrong, Mrs. Wm.
Bates and Mrs. Harold Elliott
presented MrS. MeKinney with
luggage and Rev. McKinney with
,an attache case on behalf of the
Ladies Aid.
An address was read by John'
McDonald , after which Mrs. Mc-
Kinney was presented with a
clothes dryer and, Rev. McKinney
with a desk chair by Walter Bat- •
lagh, on behalf of the congrega-
tion. ,
Words of appreciation were ex-
pressed by Rev, and Mrs, McKin-
ney for the gifts and their ahh
happiness while serving the con-
gregation.
Rev, and Mrs. McKinney will
be missed in Knox Church where
they have served so faithfully for
the past nineteen years.

THAT' Lucknow Fire Department
was called to a grass fire in Ash-
field Township on Monday about
2.15 p.m. at the farm of Don-
ald Hackett. A second call that
the fire truck was not needed
was received in time, and the
truck was stopped.
THAT. Harold Greer, who records
theweather'locally fo'r the gov-
ernment buteau, reports that the
highest 'temperature during the
recent heat wave was reached on'
Labour Day, Monday, Septem-
ber 3 when the thermometer
reached 93 degrees. It was 91
on Tuesday , school opening day
and there 'were several other days
at 90 degrees.

THAT John Orr, son of Mr. and
Mp. Bud Orr and 'a former staff
member of Bruce-County Health
Unit ,,has taken a position with
Huron County Health Unit as an
inspector for Central Huron Reg-
ion. He had most recently been
with the Department of National
Health and' Welfare at Sioux
Lookout in Northern Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Orr and two child-
ren,•age 3 and 3 months, have a
taken up residence at. Meneset
Mobile Park at Goderich.
THAT Mrs. 0. G. Anderson of
Belgrave is now home after being
hospitalized for 81/2 months iri
University Hospital, London and
Winghanrand District Hospital,
While in University Hospital she
underwent major surgery. Mrs.
Anderson is the mother of Mrs.
Bryce Elliott of Lucknow.
Mrs. Jack Caesar
On School Staff
The Golden Circle School at
Wingham has increased its enrol-
lment, by seven this. year giving
the school .21 students. Mrs.. Jack
Caesar has joined the teaching
staff and Mrs. Jack Lewis, who
helped half days last year, has
taken a full time position.
The new quarters in the Wing ,-
ham Public School are not yet
ready for use so the junior' stud-
ents Will'be remaining at the old
school house until then.. The
senior students are using a vacant
room at the public school.
