On Saturday Joe Tiffin, Joan
and Shirley and Dan Tiffin were
in London, where they assisted
Miss Joyce Tiffin.to move to
another apartment in London.
We are sorry to report that. Mrs.
Orville Tiffin was admitted to/
Wingham and District Hospital
on Monday. She is wished a
speedy recovery by the commun-
ity.
Miss Beatrice McClenaghan,
daughter of Rev, and,Mrs. Clar-
ence McClenaghan has accepted
a position as Home Economist for
York and Ontario Counties and be-
gan her work Monday, September
10, stationed at Newmarket. Bea-
trice is remembered here when
the. family resided, on the home
farm north of Whitechurch. The
community extends congratula-
tions. •

has eliminated• Allenford in the
Ontario Amateur Softball Associa-
tion quarter-finals and is presently
standing by to play Tavistock in
the Ontario semi finals.,
The series will commence this
week end in Tavistock with games
announced as soon as arrangements
are completed. •
Lucknow lost the first game in
the Allenford series in that town

held September 4th at Taylor
Brook Farm. Plans -were'made for
our Olimpiad to be held there
on October 4th starting at
11.30 a.m. Ted White and Cecil
Marshall are' to be in,,charge of
poSters; Ken Taylior compiling •
and Hugh Sinnamon printing.
The Club members are sorry that
this show had to be postponed •
from September 26th 'to October
7th. The draw on the Western
'Saddle will be held at the,Luck-
now Fall Fair on September 15th.
Plans were made for making of
Club Blankets for the Fall Fair
Parade and these will be avail-
able to ,club members, contact Pat
Aalders.
Carolyn Taylor, had the topic
"Getting a horse ready, to show".
She,had as her model Timmy
Tylor who had been brushed,
curried, combed, 'clipped . shav-
ed , and his legs and tail rapped
to prevent injury while loading,
and a sheet on him to keep him
tlean. Timmy also had his bath
the night before.. Carolyn also
,gave a list of items needed to
take along, two of which were an
onion to shine hoofs and corn
starch to keep the horses socks
or white ,stockings clean and white.
Good news of the club:
Ralph Aadlers , sons David and
Larry taOkpart in the two'hund-
red mile trail ride that starts at
Ottawa and ends around George-
town and is known as the Great
Pine 'Ridge Trail'. Ralph and
boys each were presented with ",
citations for riding seventeen
miles of this trail. Maybe next
year a few more of us can take
part 'in this ride,.• .
Lise got a second-in Western
Pleasure at Woodstock Fair. .

Kincardine Fair including NO
first as did Kathy Taylor who.

ferry was on its second last trip
for the season, they had to stand
