Food in Canada" was given in
Wingharn on Monday and Tuesday

Mrs. Dan Macinnis, Mrs: Fred
Young; Mrs. Elmer Black, Miss
Charlene Adams.

to Mrs. Fred King and Bill from
'neighbours and friends. Mr. King
passed away on Friday in Alexan-
-dra Marine, and General Hospital
after a lengthy illness during
which he was lovingly cared for
at home a great deal of the time.
;Mr. King was 62 years of age.

days' holidays here and renewing
acquaintances with former Crewe
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kilpatrick
and Mrs. A. N. Atkinson from
Wingham visited Sunday evening
with the former's sister, Mrs.
Blake.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerrie Glenn,
and daughters, Angela and
Arletta, had a holiday Thursday
till Sunday at Bracebridge , Santa'
Village and then at Richmond Hill
with Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Glenn
and fainily. On Sunday they
attended' the Cook re-union held
at Kincardine, Mr. and Mrs.
Donnie Glenn and boys, Frank
and John, also attended this re-
union.
Mrs. Ken Bell returned to her
apartment in Goderich on Sunday
after spending 'two weeks with
Mr. and Mrs.. Graham McNee.
Mr. and Mrs. McNee visited with
the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ross McNee at Nile on Sunday
evening.

Grand Bend were guests on Sunday
with the former's brother, .Mr.
and Mrs.. Chas. Fowler. On Sun-

plan to travel to. Washington later
this week.

ulations to newly-weds, Mr.. and
Mrs. George Adams (nee Donna
Bean), who will be living on the
4th concession of Ashfield in the
former Free home.

Alisa in Edmonton. Mrs. Linton
'is the former Karen Dawson.
Miss Mabel Diehl,from Stratford
visited for several days with her
aunt, Mrs. Heber Eedy and Mr.
'Eedy and' returned home Sunday.
'Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rivett and
children, Paul and Heather, re-
turned this week to Vanderhoof,
B.C. having flown home at the
time of his father's illness and
death. Sinc.e then they have
visited his mother, Mrs. George
.Rivett and other memberS of the
family.

The reguar meeting of the •
Riders Roost addle .Club was held

'Messenger at Pine River. In the
absence 'of the club president
'Carolyn Taylor the meeting was
conducted by the secretary. Good
-news of the'Club was from Larry
Aalders, any Jr. Club member•
owning his own mare or pony may
have it bred at a reduced fee to'
an. AppalooSa Stallion owned by
Mr. B. Riehl of R. R. 5, Lucknow,
Ontario.
Guest of the evening was Fred
Martin, who is the owner of a•
Clydesdale mare'who has been
the undefeated champion in Can-
ada and the U.S.A. 'for the past
two years. Mr. Martin gave a
talk on showing Hackney Ponies
in harness, and had as his model
a little black mare (Cindy) with
Margo Messenger at the helm,
who did a wonderful job of driv-
ing.

for having the club meeting.
