Mrs. Joynt was assistedin,re- eeiving the guests by Jane and Mrs. John O'Hara mother of the gni= of Toronto. Each wore a rose corsage. Showing the trousseau and gifts were Miss Pat Fife , cousin of the bride of Burlington, Mrs. Don Cresswell and Miss Elizabeth Reicher of Tbronto and Miss Jan- ice Brooks of London. •Kathy Joynt , sister of the bride was in charge of the guest book. A white outwork tablecloth, with wide fringe of crocheted lace , graced the tea table , which was adorned by a beautiful floral arrangement of pink roses and shasta daisies in silver rose bowl and yellow candles in silver candelabra. Those pouring tea were Mrs. Ken Fife of Burlington, Mrs.. Lease Property, Saddle-Club To Stage Olympiad The regular meeting of Riders. Roost Saddle Club of Lucknow and vicinity was a bus trip to Arabi Stables owned and operated by Bill and Judy Geddes of Kincar- dine. Thirty-one members attended. Good news of the club, - the Saddle Club have leased the C. N. property across the road from the Aalders home and have plans to have this land ready for the Club Olympiad on 'August 26th. Bill and Judy took us on a tour Of their farm and explained the operation of each part. At one time we were right among 'the mares and their foals which were quite numerous. 'There were two horses attached to the exerciser. and this was also explained. They have three' stallions, Mayhem whc is twenty odd and, almost white in colour; Gaelic, a liver chestnut who is eleven years and Aribi Gabra, two years old and silver grey in colour. • We then went on tour of the barns where we saw countless sheep and goats and cattle. The, Geddes' were presented with a brush on behalf of the club. Isa- bel was again at the wheel and got everyone' safely home. Halcienby Picnic KINLOUGH NEWS Descendants of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haldenby held their 3rd annual picnic at the home of Mrs. N. E. Haldenby, Westford. There were 79 present. The games were in charge of Mrs. Barbara Friendorf and Mrs. Dor- een Porter. During lunch prizes were given out to - oldest gentle- man, Roy Haldenby, Kincardine township; oldest lady, Mrs. Pearl , Anderson, Kincardine; person with, the cleanest hair, Sandra Haden. by;•the cleanest car , Wayne Porter. Those coming the farth- est distance were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gordon of Chauvin, Alberta. Don Haldenby was named presid- ent for 104 'to be held on the 4th Sunday in July.
