There are no resignations at
Goderich District Collegiate
Institute. 37 elementary school
:teachers resigned in the County
and 14 secondary teachers. Be-
cause 'of a decline in enrolment,
only 30 probationary contracts
were signed in the elementary
level and 7 in the secondary.-

ber of pupils are objecting to this
decision but I haven't heard too
many parents).
If parents wish their Children

When parents request in writing,
it is evident that the following
conditions will be met -. (1) there
will be no increase in cost to the

A new type schedule has been
reached with the bus contractors
ranging in cost fora 48 passeng- -.
er bus - $4,620 for a yearly rate
to, $5,420 for a'78 passenger bus
plus .17¢ per mile tra jelled .
There are a total of 114 contract-
ing buses used in Huron and the
Board .owns 39 buses.
A one-year contract with the
secondary school teachers calls
for, a six per cent total increase
inthe over-all salary package.
The six :per cent increase will
cost the Board $194,000 on an
annual basis. The secondary,
teachers' salaries amount to
$3,240,000.
