Mrs. Bessie Elliott thanked all those responsible for the entertainment. Rev. Youmatoff of Bayfield was Chairman for Tuesday afternoon's activities and accompanied at the piano by Mrs. J. Parker, led a lively sing a long,. Sixty-five members of the Town and Country Senior Citizens Club of Lucknow were guests for the _afternoon and took part in the program, Mrs. Campbell accompanied Mrs. Phillip, Stewart and Walter Dexter for vocal solo numbers with read- ings by Mrs. Philip Stewart , . a mouth organ and piano instrument • 41 by Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Drennan and Jimmy Little violin solo. Ray Maize, a native of the Lucknow area, thanked the enter- tainers. Senior Citizens from Clinton and Wingham areas join- ed in the afternoon's activities on the lawn with supper' being served in the'Auditoriuni and adjoining areas. Mrs. Radburn of Wingham..A. good number of residents and visitors took •part in the sports, which included potato, wheel- chair kind pillow slip relays with several contests and games oper- ated by the Clinton Lions Club. :During the supper hour prizes were presented tothe eldest lady, Mrs'. Scott, gentleman, Wilson Armstrong; nearest birthdays, Mr; Jim Gibbons -'and Mx`s. Charles Boman. the Senior Citizens Clubs of Exeter and ,Bay, field had supper at the Home on Thursday evening and provided ' the Family Night program. T he Exeter program con- sisted/of tap dances by Mona Hodgins, readings by Mrs. Grah- am Arthur,_ instrumentals by Mrs. King, Cecil Skinner and Norman Speir. The men's chorus included Edward Lamport , Joe White, Pat Skinner , Earl •Haist; Maurice Quance and Cecil Skinner. Forty-five members of the ' Brussels Senior Citizens Club travelling by bus visited the Horne on Friday morning and - after joined the residents for ,an afternoon of -bingo. The Happy Citizens of Seaforth sponsored the progressive euchre and games on. Saturday in the Auditorium and we will have names of prize winners for'next week's issue. The Club members visited several of their relatives' and friends in the Home after having dinner to-gether. It would seem by the attendance so' far that the week has been the most successful yet. A great deal of the credit for its success is due to the splendid co-operation of the weather man,. the staff members and the assist- ance of -the Women's Auxiliary • who were responsible for the registration. Kairshea WI The Kinloss Kairshea Women's Institute . held the June meeting at the home of Mrs, Lloyd MacDou- gall. The meeting began with a delicious noon luncheon at 1 p.m. The vice-president Mrs. Cliff Roulston presided, for the meeting which was opened with the Ode and .Mary Stewart Collect. The Scripture Proverbs 25 was read by Mrs. Ira Dickie. Mrs. Lloyd Mac - Dougall was secretary for the meeting. Members were informed of a Food Forum, to be held June 26th at 8 p. rri.. in Walkerton, also Kairshea Hostess Day at the Museum is August 4th. It was. decided to send "a donation instead of attending: The committee in charge of Lucknow and Teeswater fain exhibit reported, also plans were made for the booth at the Craft Festival. Mrs.' Bob Gilchrist took the chair for the programme. A contest by Mrs. Dickie "What's in a Name" was most ' interesting. The topic "Foods in other lands", by Mrs. John Needham was interesting. Blanche said how lucky we are in this country to have food and good gardens, as so many people suffer from lack of food as well T as lack of 'knowledge. The roll call was "Name your Sunshine Sister and .a gift exchange, and finding out who your Sunshine :Sister for the..year. had been. Each member drew a name for another year., Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs. Ira Dickie ' and the meeting closed by singing The Queen. The July meeting will be a ;,bus trip planned by directors. Mrs. Donald Maclntyre and :Mrs. Allan. MacDougall.
