The date for. the .picnic in 1974 was to be 3rd Sunday in June as usual, Mr. McKinley in his closing .remarks thanked committees for their help, also Mrs.; Jean Paper - nick for having arranged to move the Webster picnic to Carlow Hall in case of rain. Mrs. Olive Mae Blake thanked Mr. Elgin McKin- ley for acting president the . past year. And so: another Webster reunion carne to a close with everyone feeling it had been a pleasant get together. 1. NEWS Langside Cemetery held their yearly meeting on Thursday even- ing, June 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson with an attendance of 12. The president Bill Evans 'presid- ed and welcomed all present when he called the meeting- to order. The Minutes were read by the secretary Mrs. Victor Emer- son and approved. The business arising out of the minutes were that 3 copies of the plan of the cemeteiy had been made and that 2 had come back with•the red stamp of approval from the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Affairs, also a set of by-laws had been drawn up and . they too had the stamp of approval. The trustees had no minutes of any meeting to report. It was decided to pay Fred Tif- fin $36.for mowing grass. in 1972 and in 1973 to. pay $12 each time grais has to be cut plus expenses of gas and oil for mower. - Mrs..Fred Tiffin, treasurer, had her books audited by• Mrs. Dave Gibb and Mrs. Russel 'Chapman; showing a balance of $468.46. The price to.charge for each grave was then discussed. It was decided to charge $15 for • each and that they be sold accord- ing to•number wanted. .. Work: needed to be done - a new east, fence was left in charge of the Board of Trustees, ,and a load*of top soil was left in • charge of Vic Emerson to be pur- • chased for levelling and caretak- er Fred Tiffin is to look after. the ground hog. . . Mr. Ira Huber and 3 others from the Mennonite church met with the gathering' to see about joining in with the Langside Cemetery. Bob Orr and Bill Evans are to meet with these representatives on Monday even- ing , June 18 to measure. and make decisions. • The meeting was adjourned. Mrs. Emerson with the assistance of Mrs. Earl Caslick and Mrs. Fred Tiffin served lunch. Couple Married In Wyoming OSBORNE WAMBOLDT The home of Rev. Duncan Guest, Wyoming., was the lovely setting •on June 16, 1973. for 'the double ring•ceremony uniting Mae Jessie Wamboldt and William Wray Osborne. Thewedding was solemnized by Rev. Duncan Guest. . The bride wore a two piece polyester ensemble of beige and white with a corsage of yellow (sweetheart roses.' Mrs. Beatrice Whynott, sister- , in-law of the 'bride was matron of honour. She wore a blue dress with a corsage -of white carna- tions and wisps of blue.' Fraser Whynott of Markham, brother of the.bride was the best man. Following the ceremony, a private supper was held for the wedding party at the Laurentian Motel ,in Sarnia. , the happy. couple left on a.short honeymoon through Ontario and the United States.
