Grades 6 and 7 Tour Science Centre
On Thursday, May 10th, Grad-
• es six and seven took an exciting
• tour of the Ontario Science
Centre in Toronto. Getting up
at seven in the morning was quite
• a chore for some of the pupils
and made it extra hard on a bus
of noisy children. .
The buses arrived at the Centre
around 10..30 in the morning
and there was a guided tour, all
planned for us when we
reached it. All of the pupils
were taken to .a room where
wesaw a laser beam show; after
theshow we had lunch.
We then went to a room where
we saw an electricity show. Three
pupils from our classes were
chosen for demonstrators in this
show. These people had their
hair stand right up on end, It/
was quite an interesting show.
/ •
The tour then consisted of
going to the Science Arcade; here
we were let loose but had to, '
meet at the door at a 'certain
time. This room is a very excit-
ing one. You cadtry such things
as how fast your reactions are,
how you can tiace a line and you
could see yourself on television if
you paddled the bike fast enough,
and many more things. At 3.00
p.m. we .saw:a Light Show and
found that white light consisted of
colours.
• We left Toronto at 3.30 and
stopped in Kitchener to eat. We
arrived home very tired - but it
was worth it I
