Reta discovered a hole in the ground. a few inches deep and about five inches across. Further examination showed that at the \\bottom there was an object which she removed with the shovel. In removal it broke into several pieces about the size of a thumb and by its appearance and weight one would say that it was a bronze metal and had been in a •.molten state when it landed about twenty feet from Mrs. Ir - win's house. To date no explana- tion can be made as to where it came from and what it is. It was not there when Mrs. Irwin cut the lawn the week. before. •' * • * The Ripley Huron area, was shocked on Saturday morning as the news spread that Mike Hamil- ton had. been killed in a car accid . ent in the Saltford areanorth of Goderich.
