The Lucknow Women's
Institute held their March meet-
ing on Friday afternoon, March
9th. Mrs. Walter Alton opened
the meeting with the, opening
Ode and the Mary Stewart Col-
lect.
Mrs. Joe MacMillan was ap-
pointed secretary for the day in'
the absence of Mrs: Oniar Brooks.

The members voted to have a
pot luck supper at their annual
meeting in April and all mem-
bers were asked to remember
their ,"sunshine sister" at that
time.
Mrs. J. Kirkpatrick of Ripley
was the guest speaker and gave
a splendid address telling
some of the highlights 'of the.
year and stressing some. ways
that the Institute could improve.
Mrs. Gilbert Frarle gave the
motto "I•resolve to do the ben ..

ing how we each should use our
talents to help each other and the

Mrs. Wes Ritchie played an
Irish song, " A little bit of Heaven,

ed some,of her lovely pictures
done in, cross stitch embroidery
and explained how to send for the •
charts and material to make
them. This demonstration was
enjoyed by all.
The meeting closed with the
singing.of "The Queen", and the

Grace followed by a lovely lunch
by the hostessess.
The St. Augustine Catholic
Women's League inet on 'March 6,
in the parish hall. -Mrs. Wm. Kin

James Gibbons at Huronview. Mrs,
Gus Redmond and Mrs. Cyril
Boyle had visited there during last

Mrs. Joseph Hickey. The elec -
tion of new officers will take
place at the April meeting..
Mons. L. J. Phelan was present
and discussed the possibility of
having study groups formed. They
would be held 'once a week dur-
