PURCHASING FERTILIZER
Most reports indicate that fert-
ilizer is 'in short supply or can-
not be transported in sufficient
quantites at the right time. How-
ever the question faced by each .
farmer is; how is he going to
make sure that he gets the
amount of fertilizer he needs' at
the time he needs it? Booking
is not ^the answer because many ,
outlets will not , be able to guar-
antee fertilizer for a later date.
Therefore delivery and farm
storage seems to be the only sure
way.
There is probably no need for
panic buying but it would be 'best
to discuss the 'situation with your
fertilizer dealer now. -Farmers
intending to fertilize corn' and
pasture would do best to make
sure they get the fertilizer for
the corn and maybe wait until
after the first flush' of growth to
fertilize their pasture.
