Nellie Smith Dies,
Funeral $a.tOday:.
Mary Ellen (Nellie) Smith
passed away at Wingharn and Dist-
rict Hospital on thursday, Jan-
uary 25 in her 76th year. She
had been a' resident of Carruthers
Nursing Home, in Kinloss Town-
ship for about two years. .Prior
to that she was a resident of Luck-
noW for many yeais. She had
been, a •patient in Wingham Hos-
pital since December 31.
Funeral service'was held on
Saturday, January 27 from Mac-.

burial will be in Smith's Ceinet-

in Australia.
The girls went "down under"
about the end of October, sailing
from. Vancouver with stops ,at
Hawaii, Figi and New Zealand
before arriving in Sidney, Aus
tralia

Both girls were formerly
employed•at the •Goderich Psych-
iatric Hospital. Linda
has secured a related position in
Sidney and is involved in medic-
al records work' at a hospital
there.
The Chisholm family received
a'picture of Linda and
a group of girls on. the beach on ,
Christmas day with a tempera-
ture that day of 107 degrees.
The two girls plan to stay in'

Lucknow Ski Hill this winter, but
if enough, snow .is on the hill, ii is
hoped to start the tow on 'a regular
basis this Friday, night:

The local ski club alSo exper-
ienced another minor problem in
.the past couple of weeks. A saf-,
ety inspector advised that new

These changes have been made

skiers hope to make good use of
the tow for the rest of the season.

honoured for his Team Canada .

'for his 200th. National Hockey
'League goal scored recently in a
"game against New York Islanders.
The Mississauga News presented
Paul with, a framed color photo-
,graph of his 200th goal and a
framed copy'of the page in the
paper which featured the goal.
Sheridan Mall presented Paul
with $200 to be presented to hiS
favourite charity. 'He chose the.
Crippled Children's Society.
