Mr. Roe/purchased be- tween'1000 and SOO head of ce- de while away, \some of 'which Grant has purchased' for himself. The pair left 'Toronto on Jan- uary 6th. They'stayed at the home of Mr.. and ,Mrs. Hiram Pangburn in Calgary that night, The Pangburns are former resid- ents of Huron and neighbours to .Grant. On Sunday they flew to' Kam- loops, B'.C. and later went on to Merritt, B.C. back to Kamloops and back to Calgary. During their time In•Alberta and B.C. they attended. five cattle sales. They also toured many Alberta ranches , ,one ranch being a ' cattle operation of 5500 head. On Saturday night they return-, ed to Winnipeg and visited with relatives of Grant, known to many, in this area,.Mr. and Mrs., Russell Reid. Bruce and Shirley (Reid) Colwell, now of Winnipeg arid 'formerly of this area , were also' at the Reid home during the visit there.
