More complaints have been reach-
ing the ears of village councillors
about trespassing, the late night
-noise of the machines and the
wreckless habits of some. Most
piople who reside on or near the
:speedways will agree. that the
complaints are justified. The
. local snowmobileM club has
attempted to police its members
in'the past , with results :from' •
•most machine' owners, but you
can't put a lease on all ,machine
operators. .If problems continue,
..the result will likely' be at ban Of
the snowmobiles in town arid this
would be untortuna.te for those who

Grant MacDonald, Huron Town•
ship auctioneer, has just' returned,
from an eight. day trip to Western
Canada .With Roy Roe, one of the
managers of the Cargill Auction
Market. Mr. Roe/purchased be-
tween'1000 and SOO head of ce-
de while away, \some of 'which
Grant has purchased' for himself.
The pair left 'Toronto on Jan-
uary 6th. They'stayed at the
home of Mr.. and ,Mrs. Hiram
Pangburn in Calgary that night,
The Pangburns are former resid-
ents of Huron and neighbours to
.Grant.
On Sunday they flew to' Kam-
loops, B'.C. and later went on to
Merritt, B.C. back to Kamloops
and back to Calgary. During
their time In•Alberta and B.C.
they attended. five cattle sales.
They also toured many Alberta
ranches , ,one ranch being a '
cattle operation of 5500 head.
On Saturday night they return-,
ed to Winnipeg and visited with
relatives of Grant, known to
many, in this area,.Mr. and Mrs.,
Russell Reid. Bruce and Shirley
(Reid) Colwell, now of Winnipeg

also' at the Reid home during
the visit there.
They returned home on Sunday
night.
