Harry. Lawrence 'Wilson was
born in Bedford; England. in 1897.
He came •to Canada as a child of
nine and. Was raised in the •Simcoe
area.
During, World. War I he' enlisted "
in-the 168th Battalion in 'raison-
burg in April 1916. Hel.erved
in France with the 2nd Battalion
and 'after being gassed July 31,
1917 was discharged in July .1918.
He married an English bride, •
Mabel Queenie Lomgiio in' Oct -
ober 1917. Their daughter Jean
was born in England. In August
1922 he returned, to Canada with •
his family and lived , until the
death of his wife four and a half
years ago in the township of
Delaware. Since then helms
made his home-w,ith'his- daughter
formerly-in Kinloss, and more re-.
cently in Bervie.
.Mr. Wilson was knOWn 'by his
few close friends in this area .for
the •many tript he had taken in the
four and a half years 'he had lived..
here.
He had been in' ictoria Hospit- .
al, London in November and was
later admitted to Kincardine-
General Hospital. '
He leaves to mourn, one daugh-
ter Jean, Mrs., Edward Lizrnore of
Bervie; four grandchildren, Janet,
Mrs. John Whitten of Galt; Harry
of Port. Elgin, Jon of Haniilton
and Jamie of Bervie.' Surviving
besides are three great grandchild
ren, and one brother George.
A Masonic Service•was held
Wednesday in' ondOn by the DeF-
aware Valley Lodge where he
had been a 1 member since 1939.
On December 14 he was buried '
from the Millard George Funeral
