Friends from near and far gath-
ered at the Purple Grove*COmmun-
ity Centre on Thursday, Decem-
ber 21 to bid a fond adieu to Mr. ^,
and Mrs. Donald McCosh. Don
and Anne recently left the Grove
to make a new home for them-
selves in Ripley.
After ,Several rounds of euchre,
Anne and Don, were presented with
lovely gifts which included a set
of TV tables, .a set of door
chimes, a bedspread and a gift
of money. Bob and Marian Drier-
son were co-host and hostess for
the presentation and'recited a
humorous little resume of,Don
and Anne's adventures and mis-
adventures since coming to the.
Grocre.
The honotired couple thanked
everyone for the lovely gifts ..
.and the party and 'cordially in-
vited all to visit them in their
new home.
After the tears were dried and •
airwere back to normal, the
ladles served lunch and the floor
was :cleared for dancing. Aural
Armstrong and hi's group supplied
the toe-tapping music until early
in the morning as slowly but„sure-
ly the party broke up.
So, to Donald and Anne Mc-
Cosh we say gocid-bye and tliough.

Mrs. Don McCosh. While
approaching their home in.Riplw
they noticed 'a Strange car
parked in front-Oft-the house.
Many were the squeals of joy •
when the occupants,of the car
turned out to be Mr,. and Mrs.
Mike Kukley (Marianne McCosh)
and family of Las Pas , Manitoba
who paid-Anne and Don a surprise
