important role. For the past fifty-
four years registered blind persons
and those who have visual handi-
caps have .benefitted from the

agency.
The initial shock of someone ,
finding out that his vision is
impaired and may progress some-
day to the point that he might be
blind weighs heavily on the emo-
tional system of that person. It
maybe a situation where someone
loses his sight because of an ac-
cident which changes the life of
that particular person for the rest
of his living days. ,It might also
he a case of someone who has a
progressive eye condition which,
when examined; by an eye spec-
