Mr. and Mrs.• Elmer Wall of
Teeswater celebrated their thirty-
fifth wedding anniversary on Aug-
ust '25.
Mrs. Wall is the former Daisy
Ritchie from the Lucknow area.
Elmer and Daisy farmed in Cul-
ross for a number of years prior
to moving to Teeswater some
six years ago where Elmer carries
out duties in the village works
'department.
They were entertained at var-
jousJunctions during the week
and on Sunday a family gathering
was enjoyed at their home.

is home 'from hospital and almost
back to normal after a Miracu-
lous escape from serious injury,

week.
Her father, Harvey Beitz, who
lives with his family on the •
former Willibald Weiss farm on
N9.'9 Highway, just south of the
_junction of Highways 4 and.9,
had to go for rnach:inery parts to
Belgrave.
Susan wanted to goalong with
her dad and,crawled_on_the -
ring board of the 1965 truck on
the passenger side, unknown to
her father.
He drove along No. 4 Highway,
through 'Teeswater and through
Wingham with his little daughter

About 1 mile from Belgrave she
lost her hold arid tumbled to the
road side•where she lay uncon-
scious. She was picked up by a •
passing motorist who took her to
Smith's Store in Belgrave and
from there, into emergency at
Wingharn Hospital'. The child
was •in shock and unable to ident-
ify herself.
Meanwhile , her mother, real-
izing what had happened, solicit-
ed the aid of a neighbour Jerry
Valathand-went• searching for her
in the ditches and road Ways,
thinking she would hold on for
only a few miles.
When Mr. Valad reached Bel-
grave , he met Mr. Seitz just .start

Police, to .report the' happenings ,
they were informed of the little
girl's admission to Wingharri Hos-
pital.
She had sustained severe bruis -
es to the right, arm , side and leg
and also a head concussion, but is
now home fr'oni hospital and feel -
. •
SuSan will be. four years old -Lir
December and is one of Bight
children of Mr. and. Mrs. Harvey
Beitz who inove.d to the former
Weiss farm near Riversdale earl-
ier this year. Mr. Boltz drives a
milk truck for Teeswater Cream-
ery as well as operating the
farm.
