badly lacerated right leg. He was
admitted to hospital.

lacerated right hand which he
received August 14 on barbed wire,

R..2 Wingham, was knockeddown
on a log by a cow. She was ad-
mitted to hospital Augitst 15 with
shoulder injuries and injuries to
the spine and ribs.
Percy Clark, Wingham requir-
ed a number of sutures to his
left hand August '16 which was •
lacerated when a pony kicked, him
on his farm. .
Gerald Doig, age 26 , Ford-
wich, was admitted to hospital

The story went on; "At the
Orange Hall on Saturday afternoon
an old-timers' get-together was
held with over 8,0 persons attend-
ing. The basement of the hall
was filled with the sound of people
talking and laughing as they renew
ed acquaintances of years ago.
The event was billed as a get-
together for persons who have
lived here 50 years or longer or-,
those who used to live here' 50 or
more years ago but there were
younger people there. As one '
lady put it, "I've lied about my
age the other way so much it's
nice to. lie about it this way."
One oldtimer attending the
get6together was Mrs. Elizabeth
(Reid) McKim of Lucknow. Mrs.,
McKim was decked out in centen-
nial, garb and sported an old hat
with a huge ribbon for a tie. She
was born in Tillsonburg in 1892,
the daughter of Dr. J. B. Reid, ,
who-was the third or-fourth doctor-
in town.
During the first world war Mr.
McKim managed Thomson's
Drug Store when Captain Vass
Thomson 'went overseas, Mrs.
McKim said that she visits in

was a passenger in a car driven by
Wayne Connor. The car went out
of control at the Junction of #87
and County Road #12 near Frank's
Gulf Station and struck a tree.
The accident was investigated .by
Wingham O.P.P. W. R. Bell.
Michael Hackett , age 14; R. R.
7 Lucknow , son of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Hackett_, loa 'Jig a
.22 rifle August 19 when it dis-
charged and the bullet lodged in
his left foot. He was treated and
later discharged. The accident '
was investigated by, O.P.P. W. R.

Kenneth Roulston, Lucknow dis
located his right third finger
playing ball at,the Wingham Ball.
Park August 20. He was treated,

John Bos , age 6 , R. R.' 3, Wal-
ton, son of Mr.' and Mrs. John
Bos , fell off his bicycle August
20 and lacerated his forehead.

MRS.. GEORGE MARR
/Mrs. George H. Marr of Dorch-
ester passed away suddenly on Fri-
day, August 18 at Alexandria ,
Ontario.. Mr. and Mrs. Marr,
accompanied by another couple ,
were enroute to visit their son
Truce .at Arbea-niffia-,--when ab-ourt-
a mile from theit destination,
Mrs.. Marr suffered a.severe Coron-
ary attack , .which caused her sud-
den death.
Mrs. Marr was the former Vera
-Helena-Sherrilf. She-wa-s-born-in-
Lucknow where she attended
public and high school.. After
attending normal school she
taught for a number of years.
Since her marriage_ she .bas resid-
ed in Dorchester.. _Mrs. Marr was
predeceased by•her, lather, her •
mother, the former Helena Gra-
ham and one brother Graham
Sherriff.
She is survived by two daughters

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Mrs.
Michael (Rosemary) Chant. of

The funeral was held
Laird Logan Funeral Chapel On
Monday, August 21st at 2 p.m.
Interment was in Dorchester Un-'
ion Cemetery.
