Ruined The Day
A certain young lady of our
acquaintance had a few anxious
moments last week.
A former resident of this area,
now married and living a few
miles away, she was making a
visit to Hilray Farms Abattoir at
Holyro'od when she.met one of
,her neighbour& and. friends from
afar,

broad smile later indicated, that
we had been successful in the

will be ehosen at an event about 2 weeks prior to the main Fair
Day. September 16. The winner will be eligible ,to represent
Lucknow-Fair-at-tbe-Canadiair National---Exhibition—in-1973 when
Queens of Fairs froi all across Ontario will compete fora this
title.

• The local winner 'will be eligible to represent .Lucknow and
District in the Miss Midwestern Ontafio beauty contest to .be
held on Lucknow Fair day. The winner from this contest repre-
sents this area in. the Miss Dominion of Canada Contest.

ies from the LueknOw and Tees-
water Packs and their leaders met
in front of ,the Lucknow Town
Hall. Some of the mothers prov-
ided rides to Camp Keewaydin at
the end of .the twelfth of Ashfield
where the girls were to spend their.

.,'Yourids became their home for
the next two nights , Hikes ,
games, crafts and exploring kept
everyone busy. On Wednesday
evening the Brownies presented
three skits, their own 'creations ,
which were very entertaining.
