Mrs. Earl Elliott gave a talk
from the book, "Between Parent- '
and Child". She dwelt on steps
pf parents.dealing with 'death,
jealousy, sex , sharing bedrooms,,
etc. and how to deal with argu-
ing children and parents and on
the good it does to praise child-
ren.
Fourteen, residents from Huron:-
view , along with eighty senior
citizens from Goderich , attended
the Octogenarian Club. Picnic on
Wednesday afternoon. The Pic-
nic was teld in the Anglican
Church parish hall and is sponsor-
ed by the GoderiCh Kinsmen Club
The afternoons,activities includ-
ed a musical program by several.
individuals-and the Goderich
Psychiatric' Rhythm Band led by
Gordon Harrison. Following,the• '
luncheon, each member was
presented with a gift. A great
deal of credit is due to the God-
erich Kinsmen for this verii 1
worthwhile social service work.,
As a result of the cancellation
of the Band Concert by the. Clin-
ton Legion Band , the Tarrkly
Night- program was held in the
auditorium. The variety program
featuring the Henderson Family
was a reaftreat for everyone with
vocal solos, duets, trios, quartets
and dance numbers by Donna ,
Darlene, Debbie and Diane.
Norman Speir and Jerry Collins,
accompanied by Mrs. Henderson,
added to the evening's enjoyment
with severahnusical numbers.
Mrs. Orville Dale thanked the
entertainers on behalf of the resi-

brate the twenty-fifth anniver-
sary. There is to be a re-union
at the-community centre begin-
-ning at_ 2 p:m. The Loll call is

your days at the P,G.W.I. to be
answered by all members and
former members. At 8.3q p.m.
there is to be an old fashioned
dance with husband and families
invited.

crown headpiece of seed pearls
held her veil and long train:

Owen Sound , sister of the groom,
and Susan Thompson of London,
were bridesmaids; and Miss Karen

ario-the--bride-wore-a-yellow
crimpoline dress with brown and
white tie , white accessories and
a corsage of red.roses.
The bride's grandparents,,
and Mrs. George Saunders of
Lucknow Were guests at the wed-
ding. Other guests were from
IVIilton, Kingston, Preston, List -
owel, Clifford, London, Luck- \

ustine and Chatham.
The bride has been employed

Mrs. Mary Scheerer of Goderich
held a shower for relatives; Miss
Susan Thompson held a shower at
the home of her parents for friends;
and a community shower was held
at the' United Chureh in Belgrave.
The bride's attendants were
gowned alike in floor-length
dresses of green and white figured
material with black velvet sashes.
They wore black chokers, gifts
from the bride and eac-h carried
a single white rose with white
,ribboni.
