Died Suddenly
MRS. BERT MOFFAT
The death of Mrs. Albert (Bert)
Moffat of Teeswater occurred
suddenly in Wingharn and District
Hospital on Sunday. , June. 11. • She
was in her 61st year.
Although not enjoying the best
of health, her death was unexpect-
ed. She had entered hospital
May 29 with a heart attack but
eerried to, be progressing :Well

Mrs,'MOffat, the former Emma
Esther Wall, was a daughter of
Wilson Wall and Anna Pinnell.
She was born in Culross Township
on July 6, 1911.
On June 24, 1936, at Holmes-
vine, she married. Albert Moffat.
They farmed in Kinloss Township
until moving to Teesw5 in
1958. . •

er unusual wedding shower recent-
ly. The ,shower was in honor of
Miss Marilyn Pollock and Mr.

June 10th.

A school teacher by profession,
Mrs. Moffat taught near Moore-
field prior to her marriage and at
S. S. 4# 7, Culross and Teeswater
Public School during the period •
1956 to 1965. In 1968 she be-
came librarian at Teeswater
. Public Library, but retiired due to
'11 health in 1171.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Mof-
fat is survived by one daughter ,
Mrs, David (Donna) Stobo of Tees •
water and one son ,NM of London;
fourgrandchildren; two sisters,
Mrs. John.(Fanny)Wraith of Luck-
s now and Mrs. Len (Hope)
-Conlerof St Marys-;--a
brothers, Ira and Gordon, both of
Wingham. She was predeceased
y her parents and two brothers,
Lincoln and Leslie. •
• The funeral service was held
June 14 at 'MacPherson Funeral
Chapel, Teeswater. REV .‘ T/. J.
McKinney of Knox Presbyterian
Church, Teeswater , of which
the deceased was a member , was
in charge of the. service. Mein-
orial services were conducted
under the auspices of Coronation
Rebekah Lodge #318 , and Huron
Chapter #89, Order of the Eastern
Star. —
Pallbearers were Bill Bates,
' carman Thompson', Rim Hill,
Don Stewart, Farish Moffat and
Doug Goodfellow.

Interment was in Teeswater
Cemetery.

A 25th anniversary party was
held at the hOme of Mr,. and Mrs.
Gordon Saunders of Ashfield on
Sunda-y-T-Juue llth in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Saunders Of Chat-
ham.
Those present were their fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Saund-
ers of Lucknow , Mr; and Mrs.
Ken Mott (Nancy) and. girls of
Dutton, Cathy and John, who are
at home; his parents, Mt. and Mrs.
George Saunders of LucknoW; also
his sisters and brother and Mrs, Ed Thompson (Violet) and
fazilily, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Broome'(Freda) and family , Mr. and MrsLGOrcion Saunders and
Mrs. Ken Scott (Louie) and family.
A bountiful smorgasbord supper
was enjoyed by alrpresent.
Lloyd and June were presented,
with an electric Can opener and knife sharpener.
