Miss Reavie is to be married Son July 8th. • TRACK MEET Six schools took part in the track meet held at Belgrave on June 9th, The points each school had earned by the end of the day were as follows: Belgrave 145. points , Brussels 92 points, Brook- side 90 points, Blyth 85 points, Turnberry 68 points, Colborne 58 points. This year only one of our partic- ipants won a championship. was Sharon Pollock who tied for the Junior girls championship with Carol Wheeler from Brussels. They both earned 16 points. The pupils were divided into groups and gathered leaves, earth,, insects and rocks and took them back to the school where they are now on display. • GODERICH MUSEUM Grade one pupils 'from ROom One are now busy making book- lets on the interesting things they saw on their trip to the HurOn County Pioneer Museum in Goder- __ich WhichtheY visited on Monday, June 12. Things such as' cannons, spinning wheels , trains, armour, cars, tractorS, old clothing, stuf- fed birds, and eggs and the calf with two hdails and two tails were seen. After their visit at the museum, they went`down to Goderich harbour Where they saw many ships but 'none of them were loading salt.' St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, decorated with baskets of spriryg flowers, was the setting for the _marriage of Jean Elsie Hardy and Andrew Ghilian Del-. bergue on Saturday, May 20th at 2.-30 p.m. • Fathet Henry .Cassano of-Kings- bridge officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. William Hardy of R. R., 1 Belgrave. The groom is tne son of Mr . and Julian Delbergue 'of R. R. 8 Atiburn, Given in marriage by her,fath-; er , the bride wore a floor-length gown of white polyester shantung; fashioned with empire waistline, gathered skirt and scooped neck- waS around waistline , neckline, bottom of skirt and down front of skirt. The bishog-sie-ewes-had -wide euffi with, lace trim and the detachable train was trimmed with lace. Her headpiece was a crown of pearls, crystals and pearlized daisies which held her elbow-length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white mums and shasta • IvAatron of honour was Mrs:.' Bridesmaids were Miss Linda Snowden of London and Miss Dianne Hardy of R. R. 4 Clinton. They wore gowns styled similar to the matron of honor's with pink and blue underlining and pink and blue velvet ribbon and carried Is I ASSEMBLY A t short assembly was held for the grade seven and eight pupils • on June 13. A visitor from the Urban and Rural Exchange Pro- gram came to tell us- about this' program and pais out sheets to those who wished to take them . home. ----The-program-is intended, to let --. urban children get an idea of • what the country is like and let the rural children get to know what the city is like. Each participant goes to a home in either the city or count- ry for a week. At the 'end of the week when the child goes back to theif teal home their fortner host ith-them-€or week. This program is done dur- ing the summer and children 12 to 15 may take part. The only ex pense is the three dollars for bus services. FIELD TRIP Room Fiveand Mrs. Irwin -and Mrs. Brown visited the Wingham and District HOspital• on June 14.. When they •arrived they,were divided into three groups and one. nurse went with'each group. They saw Various rooms such as •-.the-kitehert-where.they7were,:treatr......._____ -ed with a cookie, the, nursery where there were three new born babies, the x-ray room and the physical therapy room. , They. rode in an elevator and they saw . two ambulances Theis, 'they learned a lot about the hospital, 4 ' • . For' travelling the bride chose a capri blue dress with navy vest and corsage of yellow roses. • The Couple will reside in West Wawanosh.
