The third meeting of the newly
formed saddle club was held at
the home of Carolyn and Ken
Taylor on Tuesday ,,May 30, with
an attendance of 38 people.
Members voted to call the club
The Riders Roost Saddle Club.,
Carolyn Taylor gave a demon-
stratiOri on grooming' horses and,
as she worked, she explained each'
step to good grooming, and it
made the lessqn doubly interest-
ing as she worked with a live mod.

Purina Feed Mill of Lucknow,
who then introduced Doug Kin-
caid and Jack Gorrie, guests of
the evening.
Mr. Gorrie told of their nutri-
tional program for mares and
their foals at the Horse Research
centre which is located west of
St.' Louis at Gray Summit , in
Missouri. This is a large opera-
tion,of over 50 American Quart-
er horses and is to be doubled in
the coming year.
Mr. Gorrie conducted.a contest
and Ken Ritchie won a bag of
Horse Charge. 'Mr. Kincaid' then
showed films_entitled , Just Horses;
which were very mach enjoyed
by . all present.
Plans were made for a riding
meet.
