ball finals finished this week with
a best of three finals. 'Elliott
COurtney's team beat Allan Mac-
kay's team by scores of 25-23 and
34-30. Members of the winning
team were Elliott Courtney ,
Wayne Armstrong, Steve Henry ,
Boyd Carruthers , Mike 'Smith,
Pete MacDonald , and Brian Mac-
Kay. •

House League Basketball
approached the termination of its
duration on May 1 as Bonnie
Boyle's Aligns met Sally Elliott's
Skidoos in the semi-final match.
The Ariens were plagued by.:
the absence of team members
while the Skidoos, leader in over-
all points of the league were hung-
ry to win, The Ariens put .
,up 'a determined fight but Ski-
doo baskets came thick and faSt
and by the'end of the gariie they
had reached twenty-eight points
and emerged thus as the winners.

.May 2 as the Skidoo?, fresh off
their latest win, met Jane Mep-
pelder's Sno-jets. The Skidoos,
as in the previous Match, led
early with baskets by Margie Col-
lins, Chris Meppelder and Sherry

The Lucknow campaign for the
Canadian Cancer Society was
successful' this year in raising
$1307.65 , exceeding last year's
total. by $179.15.

It •is also worthy of mention at
this time that:so far thiS year,

donations are accepted all year
round , and Lucknow has donated
a sizable sum over the past few
years.
