Scott and Mrs. Ivan onley' were
enjoyed. The biggest laughs of
the evening came from passing
the "Bomb" and the consequences
conducted by Mrs. Don Bell and
the "Learning to Drive" skit with
Mrs. Evan Keith and Mrs. Don
Bell. The kitchen orchestra from
the young folk in the audience was
quite toe-tapping with Mrs. Scott
as pianist .
The bride-to-be Lynda Dawson
was assisted in opening her many
lovely gifts by Mrs. Curtis
Dawson, Connie MacKenzie and
Betty. Colwell. Lynda thanked all

seau Tea on May 13th.

the police. Don Donaldson, as
recently as Sunday evening, Just
angle over an hour before his
death, had asked for police atten-
don on the matte which he con-
sidered as serious. r An Ontario
Provincial police officer was on
his way'to Teeswater to make a
routine check when the urgent
call was received about the shoot-
ing.
Mr, and Mrs. DonaldSon had
just returned from Walkerton.
They had taken Don's mother
back to BrUcelea Haven where'she
resides after having her out for
the day.
Don and Shirley Donaldson re -
turned.home at 9.30 p.m. Sun-
day evening after having coffee
at a restaurant in Teeswater. Mr.
and Mrs. Donaldson pulled into
their driveway , followed immed-
iately by their son Steve and -
Doug Wall, in Doug's car. Mrs'.,
DOnaldson went.into the house,
while her husband stayed outside
in the driveway , talking to his
son, a grade 12 Wingham second-'
ary school student, and Douglas
an employee in Don Don-
aldson's implement sales and
service business in Teeswater.
A third car pulled' up in front
of the Donaldson horne'and it is

Mrs. Ddnaldson; realizing
what had happened, had fear
for her own safety. She imm,ed-
iately called police.
The three children of Mrs.

across Para Street from••the Don-
aldson home catching dew worms
'for bait. They,told police they.
heard a car stop at the Donaldson
house. They said they saw the
driver lean out of,a front 'window
and hearda burst of shots.
The car then sped away leaving

The children said Don Donald-
.son clutched a large maple tree
and slowly •sarik to the ground.
Steven fell, got up and stumbled
into his hbrne 20 feet away.
Douglas Wall limped across the

of Wilfred Voisin's home.
' Mn,S Voisin said she heard the
-shots from inside but "they came
to fast I thought they were fire .-
backers." Several other area
residents heard-the shots but also
them to be firecrackers..
It was not until Mrs.. Voisin saw
Doug'enter her house and collapse
on the floor that .she realized, any- • thing was amiss.
Provincial police set :up road
blocks in Bruce County and in the
north of Huron.
Police stated that at 10.45 p.m.
Mrs. Leslie McKee of Teeswater,
widowed mother of the accused
reported she received a telephone
. call from her son saying he was

Kinloss Township, northwest of
Teeswater, and that he intended
to kill himself.
Mrs. MolKee and another sop ,
Maine of Teeswater sped to the
house and were inside talking to Dale When polite arrived. The
accused man was seated on, a •
chesterfield when arrested at
11,30 p. m. tie offered no resis -
tance. A' ,22-calibre semi-auto-
made rifle was found by police in
hls car parked outsidF.
The house where the arrest was
made was shared by McKee ,
painter, and five other employ-,
ees of Ontario ,Hydro's nuclear
pdwer construction project at
Douglas Point. The other men
were not at home at the time of
the arrest. The farm home is •the
former Hank Thonipson 'place 'and
is, owned by Walter Cholod,ny of
Mona Mills. The farm house is
rented by the men. McKee had
been eniployed at Douglas Point.
He had arso done painting work in
the area.
Police retrieved six expended
.22-calibre cartridge casings fron-
the ground in front of the 'Donald-
son house. .A scar on the trunk
lid of Douglas Wall's car, parked
in the Donaldson driveway, may
have been -made by a bullet , '
police said.
Donald George Donaldson , in
His 42nd year, was born on Sept-
ember 25 , 1930 in Kinloss Town-
ship in the Langside area. He was
as son of Mrs. Robert. Donaldson
(Mayme Moffat) and the late Mr.
Donaldson. The Donaldson farm
Was north of Langside store. and
Don attended langiide School. In
September, 1952 he married Shir 7
ley Hodgins daughter of the late
Mi. and .Mts. Earl Hodgins of the
10th of kinloss , where they resid-
ed until moving to Teeswater in

Lorne Sparks as pianist. Mrs.
Allan Maclntyre conducted a
contest and Mrs. Robt. Gilchrist
gave a reading and passed clothes-
pins for signatures and advice to
the bride.

ley are a son Steven, 18 years of

of Brucelea Haven, Walkerton;
brothers Ken of Port Credit and
Douglas, Teeswater; sisters
Winnie , Mrs. Eric Evans , High
Park; Marie, Mrs. Ozzie Ander-
son, Galt; Betty , Mrs. Jerry
Schoop, New Brunswick; Helen,
Mrs. George Cuthbertson of Port
Credit., He was, predeceased' by
his father in 1969.
A private funeral service will
• be held on Thursday, May 4 'at
2 p.m. at MacPherson Funeral
Home in Teeswater with inter-
ment in Teeswater Cemetery.
A Masonic Lodge service was
held Tuesday ,night and a Huron
Chapter No. 89, Order of the
Eastern Star service will be held
on Wednesday
