unable to book passage as the ship
was overloaded. The Hockleys
tOOk •the "Sister" ship, Estonia ,
•which sailed on April 14, 1912 and
docked in Portland', Maine. • Here
they were told of the tragedy that
had be fAllen.the-T.itanic,
travelled by rail to London Ont-
ario and -settled 'in the Culross-
kinloss area near Langside. Thir-
ty years passed 'before they moved
to Preston where they now Make
their home at 3.11 Queen Street.
"We had wonderful times ,
happy hours with good friends"

the hard times during the depres-
sion and those years are
unforgettahle."
Their attempts to return'to
England were rfampered by the -
First World War and the Second
World-War. their honeymoon
trip has spread to sixty years in
their new homeland , for neither
one has returned to the country of
their birth'.

The 1st Lucknow Brownie Pack
opened their meeting on Tuesday,
April 25th wilh -13rownre
Fairy Queen was Anita Guay., The
Brownies welcomed a new Brdwnie
Lyn. Shepherd and she joined the
Gnome Six. Tawny Owl presented
Debra Arnold with her Sixer Stripe.
and 'Janette Howald, received her
Seconder Spipe from Snowy Owl.
We then left to go to the Post
Office. The Brownies would like
to thank Mrs. CaMeron for
explaining to them how the mail
gets'to the home of each Brownie.
The Brownies also saw how they
should tie and address their parcels
for sending through themail.
