The Vitamin Diggers held their
first meeting of the Garden Club,
,April 13, at 7-.00 p,m,, at the
Lucknow Public School. .
We then elected the officers: ,
President , Nanc.y Ritchie; Vice
President ; Tonita Ritchie; Sec-
retary , Elizabeth Ritchie; Treas-
urer , Nancy Alton; Press Reporter,
Susan Kreutzweiser; Telephone
girls , Elaine 'Whit by , Joanne
Ritchie.
Otir leaders, Mrs. Glen Walden
and June Alton, told us what is'
required of each member. We
discussed with our leaders: Why we
should have a garden; where to
plant a garden; Why do we plant
flowers and where we should plant
flowers.
Our next meeting will be held
on May 5th at the Lucknow Public
School.
Achievement Day. We are havini
our next meeting on April 29th
at Mrs. Bev Hogins at 9.00 a.m.
to plan our dress review and do
our book covers.

Whitechurch Knifty Knit 4-H
Club held their seventh meeting
on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the
home of Miss. Ruth Elliott. The
president Janene Purdon opened
the meeting with the 4-H pledge
repeated in unison by the six
members present.
The minutes were read by the
secretary Janet Adams, and Sign-
ed by the president.

The Members decided to try
making a Placket on their own
using the instructions in the pam-
phlet. All worked on their book
covers and.planned the exhibit
for Achievement Day.

The fifth meeting, of the St.
Helen's Happy•Handicrafter•s was
held Saturday, April at 7.00
o'clock at the St. Helen's Hall.
The'meeting opened with the
Pledge. The roll call for this
meeting was to compare the cost
of your garment with a similar
'ready-made one. The next meet-
ing will be Saturday, Atril 15,
at 7.00 o'clock.
The treasurers report was given.
Like last week, the demonstra-
tion and discussion were joined.

held Saturday evening, at 7.00

Little Robbie Sutton celebrated
his 5th birthday on Monday. His

stitching, and sewing on buttons
properly. Mrs. 'MacPherson dem-
onstrated how to do 'the sewing ,
while the members and leaders
discussed them. All the Mem-
bers did an example ofslipstitch-
ing for their Record Books, The
hand.-out sheets were then distri-
buted' to the members and filled
in with the help of the leaders.
