Mr. and Mrs. Wm. G. Hunter
of Lucknow returned Thursday
from--a 15-day-vatatiorrin Florida.
A week was spent in St. Peters-
bUrg and area ; where they visited
Harold-Gardner , the remainder of
the vacation they visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Laidlaw at Fort
Meyers. .
While in St. Petersburg they
attended several major baseball
games, also toured one of the
largest dairy. farms,in this area
where 650 cows are milked daily: .
Tours took them through "l3usch
Gardens" at. Tampa., "World's
Largest Aouatarium" on St. Peters-
burg Beach, "Tild Gardens" on
Indian Rocks Beach neaeClear-
water , "Kapok Tree Inn" at
Clearwater„ 'Puebie Village Old
General Store Museum" near.
Indian Rocks Beach., the orange •
groves at Zephrhills and Sarasota;
and toured "Edison Winter Home"
at Fent Meyers, • •
They saw large areas of market
gardening products , chiefly pep-

William Thomas Roulston el
Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home
Lucknow passed away in Wingham
and District Hospital on Monday.,
March 27 in his ninetieth year.
He .was a son of Johnston Roul-
ston and Mary Helm and-was born
on Concession 12, Huron Township
on •Atigust 11, 1882. At the age
of 11 years he moved with -his
parents to the 2nd concession of
Huron Township.
Mr. Roulston farmed all his life
except for eight years spent in
Brantford. • He retired in 1968.
Mr. and Mrs. Roulston lived
for a time at the home of Mrs.
Annie Maclntyre, Lucknow ,but
more recently have been -residents
of Pinecrest .Manor Nursing Home ,
where Mrs. Roulston still resides.
Mr. Roulston was an•elder of.
Olivet .United ChUrch since church
union and was clerk of session for'
thirty-three 'years.
He was twice married. He mar-
ried Sadie Armstrong of Lucknow •
in June 1907. She passed away in
December 1929.
In April 1936 he married Emma
MacKinnon of Hamilton, former-
ly
.
of 2nd concession Kinloss Town
ship, who survives. •
Also surviving are one son John
Roulston of Huron Township.;three
sisters. Mrs. R. H. (Jennie) Solo-
mon of Stratford, Mrs. Cyril •
(Mamie) Campbell of Lucknow ,
Mrs. Poward (Annie) McGuire
of Stratford and two brothers ,
Clifton of Stratford, and Walter
of Huron Tovinship,
He was predeceased by'tWo
brothers Percy Roulston and Rev.
Herb Clayton, Sandy,Maccharles..
Temporary entombment was at

finalresting place Greenhill.'

Kerr Laidlaw is of London but
has been in Florida this\ past wint-
er on this construction project.
Ken is married to the former
'Elleda Hunter, a former Ashfield-
lite and sister of Wm. G. Hunter.
Easter week end, although not
exactly spring-like, was still the
time for visiting, coming up to
see how the cottages looked after
the long winter and for family
get -togethers.
Mr. and Mrs, Ivan Guy and
family of, Brampton spent part of
the week end with Mr. and. Mrs.
Bill Pace and' Mary.
Brenda and Marsha • Humphrey
Were home from London for the
week end with•their parents Mr.
and Mrs., Cecil Humphrey.
, Week end visitors with, the
Lowry families.were Carl and
Corinne 'Lowry of Toronto.
Paul and Pam Farrell were home
to spent the week end with their
parents 'Mr. and Mrs, Murray
Farrell.
Lynn Ferguson of Toronto spent
the week end with his parents
Mr. and Mrs. John Ferguson.
Home for the week end were
Carol Courtney and Shirley Reid
from Kitchener and Anne Ferguson
from London,
The Leonard families visited at
their Point Clark cottages for the
long week end, Mrs. William
Leonard; Mr, and Mrs. Bill Leon-
ard and family;, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Lavery and family and. Mr, and
Mrs. Jack-Lewis and family.
Congratulations are extended
to Mr. and Mts. Jerry Teraa ,
who are the proud parents of a
baby boy , born on Good Friday.

back David .Ferguson, who along
with his family will be making
their home at Point Clark.
Mrs. Jim Bradley was a winner
on the "1" contest on CK-NBC last
week. Congratulations!

Rev. 'Mr. Hill conducted the
Easter Services at Pine River Un-
ited Church on Sunday morning
with the Junior and Senior choirs
providing the music. The choir'
sang the anthem "The Angel
Rolled the Stone Away" and °Mrs.
-Bill Scott sang the lovely-solo
"The Holy City". Mrs. Lynn
Lowry and Mrs. Ernie Gil5sori
were at the organ and piano.,

As the Sentinel goes to
press, the LucknOw Intermediates,
after winning the W.O.A.A.
Minor "C" Championship, have
been denied the privilege of home
ice by the local and area municip-
al arena representatives in which
to_go on in the playoffs for the -
W.O.A.A. Grand Championship.
This, to our knowledge, is the
only arena in Western Ontario
which, does not hold its ice. in •
when they have a team in the
playoffs.

well; this year for the first year
in competition for-some time.

The Intermediate team was
formed in the fall of '71 to give .
hocke% to ex-juveniles of the past
couple of years who would be
left sitting when the hockey
started. up again, simply because
they had a birthday. Lucknow is
very proud of this year's Juvenile .
