Mr. Conley told The. Sentinel
that he was awakened from his
-sleep by a_ma_n who .pulled_ him
from his bed about 3 a.m. and
taking him by the heck, demand-
ed niOne). Telling his assailant
that he kept no, money in the
house , he was asked where .his.''

Joe said that .the two, who he
could not identify because it was
dark and they used a. flashlight in
their attempt at robbery , searched,
drawers and cupboards in the
house before making their depart-
ure. Nothing was stolen. He
estimated they were in the house
15 to° 20 minutes. He had forgot-
ten to lock his door that night.
Mr Conley said that he was
diizy /and weak.after the encount-
er and suffered -from the shock
of the experience and as well had
a sore neck. He Spent a week at:
the home of -his son Eugene in
