Bruce Farm. Report
4-H SNOWMOBILE CLUB
The Wiarton 4-H Snowmobile
Achievement Day will be held on
Saturday, March 11th at the Clay-
ering baseball park. This is one
of the newest clubs in Bruce
County and should 'provide in-
terest for anyone in attendance.
The program will consist of a
driving and handling test for, each
of the participants over a skill
testing course, a first •aid dem-
onstration and a machine shop
demonstration- of safety, and
basic maintenance, a survival,
demonstration outlining some of
the do's and- don'ts if problems'
should arise while snowmobiling.
At 8:30 that evening there will
be a trail ride sponsored by the
4-H club Open to all those who
wish to. participate. There will be
a charge of 50c per person to
cover the basic costs for lunch
following the ride.
During the afternoon hot choco-
late and coffee.will also be avail-
able for those who wish to thaw
out beside our camp fire. All of
these activities have been sug-
gested by the 4-H members and,
will be demonstrated by them as
part of their 4-H club project.
The leaders and members feel
that this has been an extremely
beneficial and enjoyable program
and we hOpe there are goodly
numbers out on March 11th at
1:00' P.M.. to enjoy the. activities.
--PROV-INCIAL-CONFERENCE„:
The 1972 Provincial Conference
and Annual Meeting of the Junior
Farthers Association of Ontario
will, be held en. March 17th, 18th
and .19th, 1972. The 'Conference
will be held at the. Inn on the
Park in Toronto and is a working
Conference for 360 eligible partic-
ipants from across the' Province-
to discuss 'the concerns of young
people in rural Ontario, and
--their organizations?---relationships
made' furnishings. It is fun dram-
atizing the jobs of different mem bets of a Pioneer family.
Last Friday. we received our re-
port cards and this. Friday even-
ing our parents will visit our class room to Watch us working in
groups on our Winter Unit,
We are all pleased to welcome
Mrs. Taylor back to school after
her illness. The grade fours mis-
sed her when she was away,
and Crops Branch of the Ontario ,Dep_artment of Agriculture and
Food who will speak on crop sel-ection.

the above program.

Provincial Association will be
holding their Annual Meeting and
Banquet at which time the elec-
tion of officers will take place
for the. 'Provincial Association
and trip winners will be announc-
ed, which several Bruce Junior
-Farmers have made application.
