Last Saturday evening friends
gathered at the home of Mr. and
Mrs.'Niels -Fredericksen in Ripley
to wish Niels a happy sixty-
fourth birthday.. Late last• Fall
Mr. and Mrs. Fredericksen, moved
back to Ripley from Toronto and
he is presently employed at the
Ripley Chopping and Feed Mill
where he Worked prior to going to
Toronto. For many years Nielg
was employed in Toronto as•
grounds keeper and chauffeUr for •
the lieutenant governor of Ontario
the late Dr. Herbert Bruce.
The evening was spent in chat-
ting and, playing cards. Lunch was
served by his wife Nora after
which took place the singing o f
"Happy Birthday" blowing out
the candles and cutting the birth-
day cake. Niels was presented
with several gifts and extended
best wishes. In attendance were
friends from Huron, Kincardine
and Ripley.

final game of the second flight.
They, were outscored by the team
from Saugeen High School of
Port Elgin. However Ripley's
team have made a very creditable
showing this winter. Local mem
bers Were Bill Bissonnette., Sherry
Pollock', Richard Rooney, and
Beverly Smith with'Carmon Court-
ney the?Ripley score keeper. •
