Wiarton. 'Arouhd 10.'00:a.'m.' we topped at •Sacred Hearn School. in :Walkerton 'Where we performed .some •of'our favourite numbers'. .Then we -travelled .. e Sound where. we .stopped at Tower's for a' lunch break.:and shopping, ; :until • The band then.loaded up and 'moved on to Hepworth;,:Amabel 'Public School.where w_e sxageda.• second concert at 12:10 p.m. After this concert a ;co'ntinued on: to Wiart'on arrivin4 •at .3.30 p; m. .: •The'band members W:ent.shcpping. again until 4,p m;_,._mee.tng-a-t. the Wiaiton HighSchooh. There we practised,for our concert ' scheduled for that nigh .. p. i altthf :nernbers' were served a .fantr 4i:c supper! After the meal was finished.,; the band members relaxed• by • going down town, playing basket, ball,';etc , Our concert was • scheduled :for 8 00 p, m The; a'uditori:um was filled and we play ed "our" .best. There•were spec ialnumbers performed by some.of our 'Members. David Ackert played:two clarinet solos. Ruth :Henderson ,,Marilyn Murray and David Ackert',..played a clarinet trio. Gordon Cayley., (our iland Master); and Dave Clayton, •(�Niar'• ton's Band.Master) :•la ed a trtt pet . uet. 'The Marion Public School Band (two weeks--crldYtiemon'stra ted to .the audience .theft musical ability.. The Wiarton Public School Junior and Senior Choirs added;to the .entertainrrietit of .• the evening. The ;band members- were billet- ed in Wfartori overnight. The next day, .Saturday,: we assembled at .the Wiarton High School at 12,00 noon,: After we had' joined the parade., to welcome Santa; :we Al, started for home..• pethaps we may be fortunate eliough ta'have the Wiaiton band visit us it I,Ueknow.. `iartoniaris ar% very ho$pitable and do enjoy lour visits.
