In April my wife and 1 spent,
two weeks of our holidays in,visit-
our_sot ,-. John and. family.", in.
lnnisfail, Alberta. John. is the •
minister of St, Andrews Presbyte.r•.-
Ian Church there. Subsequently
this summer they were happy to
have some friends from Ashfield
visit 'the'm during. the summer. .
In June .I spent the •second two
weeks "of our holidays in the Rich-
mond Eye Hospital where I had
my fourth operation for detached
retina. .This was.the third time
•in the, left eye: 1 was .Quite
awhile recuperating from:this open
ation. and .I •suffered quite a bit of
pain at first However , I feel: ,
fine now. 1 was to Richmond last
Friday for a checkup and the doc-
tor'$eerris,disappointed that' my
sight-ha/S. not returned to the -left
eye and apparently he has given
up Trope for that eye. My right"
emye•, which also had an operation
for detached 'retina, iri.1965 , seems.
to'be as.good as it ever was and

Secondary School recently present
ed "Collage" ; an evening of
drama and' film . Although the •
audiences may not have been
as gratifying as the stridents would
have wished , a large number of
people were on hand ,to view the
work of the stucents and films by
the National Film I3oard .•
'The students presented three
one -.act plays, ."Heat -Lightning"
"A; Thing of Beauty" and Edward
Albee's ",The Sandbox". The,.
first a suspense drama , takes
place in :a bus s tation. where a
young, girl comes one rainy night
to escape a' murderer. The roles
in:this play were' taken by Joan '
Currie , Boake Ferguso"n'a.nd Ron •
Sillick. Theplay was produced
by ianet. Whiteheadand directed
by Sandra Lee , w4th assistance
from staff member S. Jones. ' Be-
hind the scenes ,' Barb Lillow work
ed on makeup, . Alison Smith on
wardrobe ,. Hilary Hay on props '
and Ron Sillick on sets. .

Stanley directed the second play
a •modern: dramatization of the
